TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST DRINKS WITH KEURIG K CAFE
1. The beauty of these recipes is that they’re super flexible. Use cows’ milk, almond, coconut, or oat milk. You also don’t have to use only vanilla or caramel. Try adding other flavors as well, like toasted marshmallows, hazelnut, or raspberry. Choose your own adventure!
2. Use dark roasted or espresso-style k cups. They keep the flavor well and won’t get watered down.
3. Cold milk froths better. Always add cold milk to the frother.
4. Use 2% milk because it’s perfect for almost all drinks. It will create a nice foam, but will also give creaminess and sweetness.
5. For an extra creamy mocha or iced coffee try whole milk. The foam won’t be as rich but the taste will be absolutely perfect.
6. Don’t use too much ice for iced drinks – add only 4, 5 large ice cubes per drink.

Enjoy!

FAQs

Can you use milk instead of water in a Keurig? ›

Can you put milk in a Keurig? The short answer is no. Putting milk into a Keurig as opposed to water can damage the machine and can also make it smell bad. It can also be an issue for people who are allergic or are sensitive to milk and other dairy products because it lingers inside the machine.

How do I get rid of the nasty taste in my Keurig? ›

Pour your descaling solution of choice into the reservoir, and run your Keurig as you normally would. After the machine is done, you'll want to let it rest for about 45 minutes. We recommend running plain water through your Keurig several times after descaling your machine to combat a vinegary taste.

Can the K Cafe make hot chocolate? ›

Thanks for your question. The K-Cafe Special Edition coffee maker has the ability to brew all K-cup pods including tea and hot cocoa. We always suggest running a water brew after brewing powdered beverages to prevent clogging for future brews.

How do you froth milk in a Keurig K Cafe? ›

Remove lid and add chilled milk to the LATTE or CAPP line marked in the frother. Replace the lid and place frother on the frother base. Press the COLD button followed by the LATTE or CAPP button. The frother will beep once and both buttons will illuminate while the milk is frothing – approximately 3 minutes.

Does the K Cafe frother heat the milk? ›

If the LATTE or CAPP button is selected on the frother base, the milk frother will froth until it reaches between 155 and 165 degrees Fahrenheit. If the COLD button on the frother base is selected, the milk will only be frothed but not heated – perfect for making iced lattes and iced cappuccinos.

Can you use my K-cup with K Cafe? ›

The Keurig® K-Cafe™ coffee maker is compatible with the Keurig® My K-Cup® Universal Reusable Coffee Filter, allowing you to brew your own ground coffee.

Does my K-cup fit in Keurig Cafe? ›

The Keurig My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter is compatible with all Keurig Home Coffee Makers, including the K-Cafe coffee maker. Please note, you will need to remove the 2.0 adapter on the bottom of the accessory and the K-Cup Holder in your brewer in order for it to fit properly.

Can Keurig K Cafe make espresso? ›

Keurig makes espresso blends; however, a Keurig machine does not produce enough pressure to create cafe-quality espresso. The result will resemble a stronger version of drip coffee as the process used by Keurig is simply creating a concentrated pour over.

Why is my Keurig K Cafe not frothing? ›

Before you do that, try resetting the frother by unplugging it and plugging it back in after a few seconds. If the frother still doesn't work, you may need to reach out to Keurig's customer service for assistance.

What's the difference between a latte and a cappuccino? ›

The main difference in these two drinks is the coffee to milk ratio. Some more key differences between these two coffee drinks are that while a latte has more steamed milk and less foam, a cappuccino has even layers of espresso, steamed milk and frothed milk.

What is difference between latte and cappuccino? ›

Differences between a latte and cappuccino

They are very different drinks though as the latte is creamier, with espresso and steamed milk mixed together to create a more subtle taste. A cappuccino on the other hand is much stronger with equal parts steamed and foamed milk.

Can I put baking soda in my Keurig? ›

No matter if you want to descale K-Express Keurig, an Elite model, or a different coffee machine from that producer, the procedure will look very similar. In all cases, you can use citric acid, white vinegar, or baking soda (or a dedicated Keurig descaling solution, if that is your preference).

How do you make reusable K-cup coffee stronger? ›

Use the right grind

In general, a fine grind works best for reusable pods - this means that the water has to work a little harder to get through that ground coffee, creating strong, fuller bodied espresso and a beautiful extraction. Whereas a coarser grind tends to produce gentler flavours and a lighter colour crema.

Why do K cups taste the way they do? ›

There's a reason that Keurig coffee is generally unexciting, dull, and tasteless: it's the beans. Not all coffee beans are made equal. Some coffees are grown, processed, and roasted with a commodity mindset. The goal is volume and speed, not quality.
