Friendly and helpful staff. Marvelous experience and entertainment for all ages. The King Biscuit radio show is the oldest continuous program in the US! Must see for delta blues!

George P — Google review

The Depot and exhibits are amazing. Cherry St. Staff could be a bit more engaging and attentive to visitors but they didn't take away from the visit. The radio station host was awesome! Very cool and helpful, and it's obvious he loves what he does!

Stopped here on delta blues road trip from Memphis to New Orleans and it was fantastic. I loved the Mississippi River exhibit and the staff was so friendly. The building is gorgeous. They should definitely turn the old ticket office into a display or something!

Emily N — Google review

Must see location for those wanting to know about delta blues history.

Mark D — Google review

Great piece of history. We enjoyed it very much. If you love the blues it is a must stop.

Keith Y — Google review

A must visit when in or going thru Helena, AR. If you can pop in during one of the broadcasts like the 12:15 pm King Biscuit time even more fun.

Mary C — Google review

Excellent blues history, shocking history of Black Citizens, meaning American Citizens, in the Delta. I can see why "many" people would like to forget the history of white America did.

Robert K — Google review

Located in an old railroad station, the exhibits present the cultural history of the Arkansas Delta, from native Americans, agriculture, slavery and reconstruction. If you are a history buff, plan to spend time here and at th second location nearby.

Joe S — Google review

If you love the blues, this is a must stop place. Just wished I had more time. We are planning to go back.

Cindy B — Google review

Amazing experience, great displays and well informed staff. Must see, especially if you are interested in the history of the blues.

Polished rooms, plus a casino, a spa, a pool, 4 restaurants & a stage with live entertainment.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I'm sure!Very helpful and kind staff! I went during the early week, rarely are there too many smoke smells. Everyone are nice and attentive. Buffet is great! My favorite machine did move but we were able to find it. :)

SUMON S — Google review

Nice casino. It was packed. Standing room only. I received a player's card and got $25 dollars at the kiosk. Paid $40 for the buffet. It looked good but most things were cold. Who wants to pay $40 for a meal and it is cold. Hospitality was OK. I did not understand most of the machines.and love st that $25 in a flash, playing a 1 cent machine. Not a pleasant experience.

Let's start off with service a place like this should have great service but they fell at that The new owners are definitely not training everybody how they're supposed to treat their customers as well as the rewards program The new owners have a reward system That's pretty bad to say the least. Also I gamble in many places this place has bad vibesThe first time I went and decided to go a second time I should have just stopped at the first time. Would I recommend this place absolutely not till they change their vibes at least better customer service. I would definitely return if they improve customer service. Definitely had a bad experience both times!

We live in Texas. My newlywed husband brought me to Gold Strike for my birthday. I had not been there in about 10 years. It was wonderful!! I would love to know what kind of mattress was on our bed. He has back issues and has much difficulty getting comfortable. We were both very comfortable. I would very much appreciate it if a manager would let me know what kind of mattress that was (23rd floor). My only disappointment was that the breakfast buffet is not available during the weekdays. I have very fond memories of cheese-stuffed crepes with strawberry sauce.

Brenda E — Google review

Fun place, great food and entertainment!Chicago Steakhouse is number #1 on my list for steak and impeccable service. It may be a little higher priced, but if you want perfectly cooked food and to be treated like royalty splurge a little and tell Chef Jeremy I sent you! Oh and the buffet is hard to beat if you have a giant appetite!!

Jerry M — Google review

This is our half way stopping point for our trips to see family. Casino is clean and a good place to visit. Great games and free play for members. Food. games, rooms, all good. The bad - location is rather secluded and not what it was years ago. Closed and abandoned casinos scattered in the area. Local businesses seem to never have recovered. Still the experience is overall good at the Gold Strike Casino.

Barney H — Google review

We had the buffet. The prime rib was over cooked. The fish was dry as sand. The sweet potato casserole was bland and like all the sugar was drained out of it. The fried rice wasn't good either. Probably the worst buffet I've been to in a very long time. Do not recommend eating here. Go somewhere else.

Dwayne R — Google review

Had an enjoyable quick overnight stay-room was nice and quiet and well appointed. We had dinner at the Chicago Steakhouse which was perfect 👍🏼 All staff were super friendly and professional. We even took sone time to try our luck ( not so lucky :-( ) in the casino. We grabbed a quick breakfast at Sweet Tea on our way out- no complaints!!

Sherri G — Google review

As much as I go to the casino this was the first time I reserved a room. I don't live that far, but I knew I didn't want to drive back home since the roads were kind of bad. This exceeded my expectations I was pleasantly surprised. With this being a casino I thought the rooms would be mediocre, but it wasn't. Money well spent it was very clean bathroom and all. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and everything was nice and neat in my room. I see myself staying again in the near future.

GMOM#1 — Google review

I only went to the casino part on this visit. I got carded immediately lol, so if you don't look your age..get ready for that! It's a pretty building with golden lights. Calm atmosphere...more of an older crowd. They're just there to enjoy themselves and I can get with that. And it doesn't just smell like straight up smoke 😭 Nice!

Deandria I — Google review

We stayed next door at the Horseshoe and gambled at both. The Gold Strike was a fantastic resort. Right when you walked in it smelled great. Super clean and really large. Lots of games! The one issue was it was hard to get a drink on Friday and Saturday nights. Not the servers fault at all but still annoying. Will be back for sure!

Scott B — Google review

I visited here over the weekend and it was great!. They had a band playing and a really great atmosphere. The slots were hitting and the card tables were decent as well. A very nice get away.

Ci B — Google review

Great atmosphere, there was a band both nights, w/ a DJ in between sets keeping the crowd jumping. Been awhile since I've put down hard liquor that fast... Yep, over estimated my ability. Not a problem. Had two stunning and kind co*cktail servers take care of me. One All night long, damn near proposed. Not yet, still a great place to unwind.

Joel B — Google review

Called and paid for 2 nights for a room over phone. Once I received my reservation via Email. I realized it was only one night.I called back and she assured me it was for 2 nights. She told me that she would be working when I arrived and she would correct it. I drove the 5 hour trip and once I arrived the host said it couldn't be changed. There was no attempt to follow thru with what the employee had promised me over the phone. They then charged me an extra 50 dollars for the room, and said that was a room deposit and I would get my deposit back once I left. The room was nice and clean. I slept in my bed for a total of 4 hours that night, didn't use shower, didn't turn on television, and barely made a wrinkle in the bed sheets. After looking at my credit card statement I was NOT give all my room deposit back... WHY??.Why would GS employees lie to their customer .. Why would I not get my deposit back?. These are questions I called GS and tried to get answered . I got put on hold twice, and hung up on 3 times..My final thought is BEWARE.... They are not honest with what they tell you. Not the same as it has been in the past years. .

TIM S — Google review

The beds were very comfy, the room could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom, and the wall had a hole in it where someone must have pushed the door open too hard. The folks at the front desk were very nice, and the casino was fun. Food was decent in the sports bar, but they really need to provide fresh coffee at the buffet and not Folgers in a big tank that was luke warm at best.

Laureen H — Google review

My husband and I booked for one night. After we got there we were so happy it wasn't longer. The front desk staff was not welcoming. The room was clean but out vent fan in the bathroom did not work. The air conditioner did not work well. I had to fix our broken towel rack so it would hold out towel. The ice machine didn't work on our floor or on several other floors. None of the soda machines between floor 17 and 32 worked. Several of the floors had water damage and smelled. We went to dinner at Buffet Americana. Half of the buffet was shut down. The selection was not that great and the desserts tasted like they were weeks old. When we tried to go to the same buffet for breakfast the next morning we were advised that they were not opening for brunch. It was impossible to get a drink while we were gambling. We went to the Horseshoe to gamble and loved it. The staff was friendly. Easy to get a drink. We won't stay at the Gold Strike ever again. And we won't recommend it to anyone either.

Randy&Brandy J — Google review

Horrible beyond horrible this customer service is deplorable!!! From the moment we checked in! We hoped that maybe it would get better but NO!! Nice place but the people that work here know NOTHING about hospitality. Unfortunate but true. If you’re from out of town and looking to have an enjoyable time don’t expect it here! After a 7 hour drive looking forward to all the hype of “Tunica” we are going to now forfeit our second night just to leave this place. The other casinos around are SO MUCH better and friendlier!!! Thanks for absolutely NOTHING “Gold Strike”

Tamara M — Google review

We have been going to the Gold Strike since 1998. It is starting to show it’s age. The beds are uncomfortable and the hotel rooms need updating. Many of the staff are just plain rude now! It’s obvious they don’t care if you are there or not, but they sure do expect a tip for everything they do. The restaurant choices are very slim. For a casino of this size I would expect more food options.

Sherry H — Google review

Nicer of the casinos in the area. Hotel room AC not very cold and rooms need updates. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Food quality needs to be better in all restaurants. Very average at best. Nice staff that wanted to help.

Ryon Y — Google review

The last time we were at this casino was 8 years ago. I know COVID had a substantial impact on the Casino industry in Tunica. A lot of casinos have gone. We have good memories of times past, now, it's not the same.We requested a non-smoking room at check in. When we got to the room, there was a foul stench of cigarette smoke. It was disgusting to say the least. No microwaves in the rooms any longer. .Only one Gold Strike laundry bag,The bottled water tasted terrible. There were no channel guides for the TV.The pool and whirlpool were closed. (That is understandable because of COVID)The level for customer service took a downhill plunge in 8 years for certain. We will NOT be back.

Dave N — Google review

If you order from sweet Tea and you get a electronic puck. Don't leave the restaurant or you w never be notified your meal is ready. No one tells you this.Toilet and shower backed up in one of our rooms and our rooms were charged individually instead of our corporate card.

Me and my husband, went to Gold Strike casino. I just want everyone to know that, this place is the nicest,I have ever been in. I recommend anyone to go there. The staff there is the greatest. I have never been to a place, that they are the most generous people I have ever seen.

Rebecca C — Google review

My family and I enjoyed The Gold Strike Casino Resort. Had a pleasant experience, although the Bar tender did not get my drink right ,a fuzzy Navel with a shot it southern comfort..I received a Screw driver. Oh Gosh!! Other than this had a fun time..

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Gold Strike Casino Resort, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the high level of cleanliness and the impeccable condition of the hotel room. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a top-notch environment. The friendliness of the staff was a standout feature of my stay. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in ensuring that my experience was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, their attentiveness and professionalism made me feel like a valued guest. The hotel itself offers a fantastic atmosphere, making it a perfect choice for anyone seeking a pleasant place to stay. The amenities were abundant and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a comfortable visit.Whether you're a traveler looking for relaxation or someone seeking entertainment, Gold Strike Casino Resort is an excellent option. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of a memorable and enjoyable stay. The staff, cleanliness, and overall experience make it stand out from the rest. I can't wait to return!Thank you, Gold Strike Casino Resort, for an outstanding time!

Room was nicer than I expected and a decent price. I had noisy neighbors that made lots of noise at 345am. That sucked but the view frol the 27th floor was nice. Room was comfy.

Kri ( — Google review

Don’t know they tell you that your 50 dollars will be refunded when you check out it’s been nearly 2 weeks and still no refund. All I’m saying is be up front honest with people tell them it takes 2 weeks to finalize the bill and then you get your 50 dollars back. Cause I was literally told that as soon as I check out it will be refunded v back into my account. And it’s still pending and it’s been 2 weeks. When I paid for the room I don’t have the chose the money comes straight out of my account. But you get to wait before you refund me. Not to mention how rude the staff is when I called about it. I don’t figure this will be read or anything done about it. I probably won’t even get my money back. Maybe it will help someone make there decision before staying there.I did send a email 3 days ago and nobody ever responded back. Here is another update now I’m being told it will be 30 days before I get my money back. They tell me to send an email I did and no body replies back to me. This is so ridiculous they won’t me to just forget about it and I’m not. Can someone please help me with this

Chad T — Google review

Horrible service. None of the employees was nice. Got a room and it was filthy like someone else trash was in the trash can, floors couldn’t walk on barefoot in your own room, refrigerator filthy. Switched rooms and it wasn’t much better. I paid over $200 for a room! For my deposit I was told 3-5 business days. Sign says 24hrs… called and now they said 3-14 business day!!!! I don’t recommend this place at all!!!!! I’d leave a no star if I could because they don’t deserve even 1!

Heather B — Google review

I’m probably a little harsh but I wanted to share. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here and it shows. The first room I entered had no working deadbolt so I immediately went down to the front desk and requested a room change. The room was nice enough but the mattress had lots of mileage on it. Uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but there seemed to be spots on the shower tile. Mold maybe? Not sure. Toilet and sink were in good shape. Overall the room was very clean. Needed a new coffee maker and blow dryer both were broken. Not quite Vegas.

Rebecca G — Google review

We only went for the buffet. The resort was nicer than some of the other casinos in that area. The food on the giant buffet was pretty damn good actually-and I'm not a buffet person.

Lacey I — Google review

We had a great time at Gold Strike Casino. Great atmosphere, amazing staff. We did not stay at the hotel but will in the future. The only thing that would have made our trip better would have been a jackpot lol. We will be back.

Will S — Google review

Yeah.....just not it. The room was fine, just. But as a player passing through, the tables just don't care that you're there. No restaurant on the premises, had to go across the street. Glad I did, because the horseshoe had much better games and instantly took good care of me. Won't be back.

Beau — Google review

Ist trip to a casino in 15 years and our last. Was celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary, 2 nights stay. Food at any of the restaurants and buffets are just horrible, no quality, ultra cheap and processed food. Way overly priced. Such a shame at such a place. Rooms are so outdated. Beds are very worn out and uncomfortable in the hotel. Standing in a tub of water trying to shower. Drains were stopped up. Couldn't even get room service to bring a couple of champagne glasses to our room for our anniversary. I mean couldn't help us at all . Wow ! Today's gaming is so digital and rigged. What a racket ! Good riddance to any and all casinos. Don't waste your time and save your money. Cause for the most part they're definitely gonna take it in the casino. As for the owners reply forthcoming, I want be contacting anyone just hear what I'm saying . I see reading other reviews, I'm not the only one that thinks yall suck . I should've took time to read some of these reviews before I came to tunica . Especially gold strike. Again,I say this with most assurance we want be back.

Lane R — Google review

The room could have been cleaner. It was dusty like no one had been in it in months. Other than that, Gold Strike has always been a main attraction. Especially during holidays.

S B — Google review

Tunica is in a sad state. Needless to say, I don't EVER have to visit Goldstrike or, for that matter, Tunica, MS again. Tunica casinos were booming years ago. It was my favorite spot - like a little Vegas. It had been several years since my last visit and boy has it gone down.Slot machines were pretty loose. No jackpot, but I did fairly well. Best believe, whatever they give you on the slots, they recoup at the tables, the Mississippi Stud tables anyway. That's all I play, and each of the tables I sat at was brutal.

Casino

The Horseshoe Tunica hotel is situated in a vibrant casino resort that features five restaurants, an outdoor pool, and a gym. The hotel rooms are casual and comfortable for guests to relax in. Visitors can enjoy their day exploring the city of Memphis by visiting St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center, National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel or trying their luck at the Horseshoe Casino.

Really had no complaints when I went. The steak restaurant was excellent along with the service. They made my friend feel very special for her birthday. The restaurants are pricey as I had expected but you can get little appetizers and small plates. Horseshoe is the biggest casino in Tunica if that’s what you want. Lots of people winning. Great love music on Friday night. Drinks good. Every worker we had encounters with was very pleasant & welcoming. I would go back!

Heather D — Google review

Nice, friendly staff. Table dealers are great at helping you learn new games if your go-to game table is full. Beautiful decor making you feel like you're in a nice atmosphere. I've been to this location a few times & win or lose, I always leave happy from a good time! My only negative is the buffet was changed to a different restaurant & it was absolutely horrible service & the food was not even sub par. I don't mind paying good money for good food but it's a little upsetting to pay good money for bad food plus horrible service. We didn't let it ruin our trip, though. We just ate somewhere else the next meal

Bethany R — Google review

My stay was good, because I enjoyed the room, and would have enjoyed the casino, but it was too much cigarette smoke 🚬 for me as a nonsmoker. I had a complimentary flight and hotel over, which was nice until the process of returning home. The hotel escort an airplane fully loaded with people of different age groups to the airport much too early which was very unprofessional and we had no seating area at the airport to sit during this wait. There weren't any airport attendants to check us in, until an hour later. Now of course, at this, we all were feeling like we were treated with no respect, mainly after we have spent our money with Horseshoe Casino.

Laydean H — Google review

Appropriately rated as a 2 star hotel. Can tell it was nice at one point in the past. Main issue was cleanliness. Hallway very dirty. Dirt in the bathroom corners. Room wasn’t ready at 4:30 despite booking it several days in advance. Beds were comfortable. Would have had a free room but no available pet-friendly free rooms available.

Debbie H — Google review

Me and my husband visited for one night for a "parent's night out". Everyone was super nice upon arrival! We weren't in our room long before realizing our TV didn't work, but we let them know and they moved us to a new room right away! The cleanliness could have been better, but overall nothing huge to gripe about. I had read a lot of reviews beforehand about the slots being tight, etc but that wasn't the case for us. Played a little black jack and our first dealer Donald was AMAZING! He was very patient with me as I was learning and it truly gave you an EXPERIENCE as soon as you sat down. Then, he was replaced with Ray who was EXTREMELY rude as soon as he sat down. We started with a full table with strangers we were having so much fun with, but Ray quickly changed the entire atmosphere and it wasn't long before we all got up. That man has no business working in the hospitality industry. Overall, it was a good experience and we definitely will return!

Kayla Y — Google review

We didn’t stay here but went to the casino to gamble with my son who just turned 21. 1st time loyalty card users get $10 in rewards play so that was nice. I personally had some good luck at the slots so I have a great opinion of the place hahaha! Good range of machines, table play and high limit areas. My husband played blackjack for a little while and liked it too. Starbucks in there was a nice touch!

Made some great memories here. It's just an awesome place we arrived and left the next day and not empty handed. But that restaurant the one they have that famous cook their do not go I ate and got sick really bad really bad. I had to go get medicine like really bad. But all the rest is just perfect a perfect casino to have fun and make extra money. Good luck make this casino your next stop!!!

Abraham C — Google review

Went to the counter to check in and got no "welcome to.horseshoe, what can I do for you"? But instead all she said was "photo I'd please?"And with zero personality, proceeded to check us in. The room was like a mile walk from the elevators which was insane. The halls are dark and dingy. They refused to let me take my own bags and insisted on having a bell hop person do it so I had to wait around for him to come take my bags that I was capable of carrying and it was clear that this was all a ruse to get tips.My room was so dark I could hardly see and that's after turning on all the lights. We had nothing but rooftops to look at out the window... it may have well been not there... useless window when the only thing you see is dirty roofs with ladders and equipment mess everywhere. Being here during the week... there was no where to get food and the snack store downstairs is WAAAY over priced. Way to take advantage of your guests. The room clearly hadn't been dusted in a long time.... it was gross. The bed had hairs on it.The water in the bathroom came out of the sink in a literal trickle.... so crazy. We were supposed to be here 2 nights for my birthday but I only stayed 1 and decided to go somewhere else. I came to gamble and have fun but decided not to give a dime to the casino. The place was gross and the staff was lacking and give a damn. I can't give my money to a place like that.

Pink C — Google review

The room was actually pretty decent and was inexpensive. The casino and hotel reminded me of the Rio in Vegas when Caesars gave up on it. The place was dirty and a lot of things were broken. The floors were dirty, carpet held together by duct tape, urinals covered with a garbage bag, elevator card reader and lights not working, and plenty more issues. It just didn't have a good feel to it, which is a shame. The place could be attractive with just a little effort. We didn't even spend the night. We drove our four hours back home instead. We will likely never return.

Traveler_312 — Google review

I stayed in the horseshoe hotel and was very pleased. Decent nice room for the money. The front desk was super quick with getting anything extra we might've needed. The bartenders at the actual bar are definitely the best. Heavy hands. Perfect drinks. There was one lady at GUYS restaurant that was just above an beyond and I would go back just to have her be my server again.Overall I will definitely be back and I can't wait !

Tabitha P — Google review

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. However, the hotel rooms did not have a microwave. I was like you mean to tell me that the room has a fridge, 3 TVs, c- shape sofa, nice chair, and more, But no microwave. It's almost like you are being forced to eat the Not So Tasty food. I ended up eating my cold shrimp pasta I brought with me prior to checking in. The customer service was super awesome.

Loved this casino. Everyone were very nice to us. They have truck parking near entrance very convenient and great because there’s an ice storm so we did not walk too far. Poker room is not big but it’s cozy. Dealers were all very nice especially John he was my favorite he gave us awesome hands. Free drinks but tips are welcome. I also played slots won double. Played roulette and lost lol can win everything. Had a burger at the sports grill which was fire. Fries were good too, service was also good. In all great experience. Today we might stay the night and play again. I am going to say the service here is way better than the Golden casino. No harassment here. Winnings in pics are my husbands.

Diana G — Google review

We loved the pictures of the hotel on their site, however when we arrived, it wasn’t like the pictures. The pool was empty and closed. There was no coffee pot in the room. There was a sign in the room saying that if we took anything we would be charged and the prices of each hotel item was listed. It’s been at least 20 years since we stayed at a hotel with no coffee in the room and we don’t steal from the hotels we stay in, and we travel a lot.

Kimberly T — Google review

Definitely in need of remodeling. Smells old and moldy. Stayed room w/king size bed. Had old wing back chair that was stained and extremely uncomfortable to sit in.Bathroom had built up dust on hairdryer, base boards & exhaust fan. Only plus in room was having a lockable safe, small refrigerator, iron & ironing board. There are fees for extra towels, toilet paper, etc. Housekeeping only if you call.Casino was so smoky that I wore a mask. Slot machines extremely tight, no money won. Had a waitress drop a half empty glass with a mix drink in it that hit the floor right beside me as I set at slot machine that splashed my new white shirt that stained front, back & left sleeve. All she brought me was a wet wad of paper towels to clean with. Definitely will NEVER go back to Tunica.

Cathy S — Google review

The rooms need renovating and cleaning. Shower curtain was hanging loosely by one.screw. Wall covering redone in patches and was loose and curling up. Carpet frayed with 3 and 4 in strings. Carpet needs vacuuming throughout hotel. Never saw a vacuum. The toilet and sink did not appear to have been cleaned in some time. And we had to pay for this. Bartenders were zombies. No personality or friendliness....and never at the bar. Room 2145....check it out.

This casino is an absolute gem! From the lively atmosphere to the friendly staff, every visit feels like a winning one!The gaming options are diverse, catering to all preferences, and the excitement is contagious. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, creating a warm and inviting vibe.Don’t forget to grab a players card and visit 8oz Burger in the back of the casino.

Rooms are definitely outdated. Carpet feels sticky. They either need major renovation or they need to tear the whole place down. I regretted staying here. I won’t be coming back to any Ceasar’s establishments. Overall it was not a good experience. It started with rude front desk. They seem to be bothered to do their job. Security guards and other staff members were much friendlier. Food options are limited and flavorless.

Eylul L — Google review

Just the closest Vegas like casino to Memphis. Clean with good interactions with the employees. The line for players card is long but moved fast and the self service machines were out of order. Everything works, hotel rooms are spotless casino is clean. Nice bars. Great fun!

Khay W — Google review

I come here to play poker. This casino has an amazing poker room with great service and dealers. Free drinks while playing and plenty of tables. One of my favorite places to play. I have stayed here and the room are nice. Great view of the river and the land around the casino which is pretty much just land. Where this casino is located there is not much else around besides a few fast food places and gas stations.

Poker M — Google review

The service was impeccable! I really wish the other casinos would allow you to order your drinks at the machine you're playing on. That was definitely a bonus, and the servers were awesome! The bathrooms were so clean.

Adriana M — Google review

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We were told that the pool was open and upon arrival we discovered that it was closed. We were told that it had been closed since Sunday for repairs but since reading over some of the reviews it seems like it has been closed for much longer. We were told that Tunica was the closest thing to Las Vegas. Definitely not. The area had 2 hotels/casinos there and besides that there was almost nothing around at all. Just small gas stations. Food was ridiculously expensive for just being mediocre. We had to get 5 new sets of keys to our room because the keys kept deactivating. Something they don’t tell you when they hand you the keys is that they will deactivate if you hold them near your phone. The whole place reeks of cigarettes and weed. You will be charged for everything if you stay here. I know that I will never be staying here again. The location is horrible. Nothing in our room was properly cleaned and there was mold growing on the walls of the bathroom. All of the staff seemed completely miserable and were very rude. The walls are very thin as well and you can basically hear everything going on in the hallways.

We went to eat at Guy Fieri’s new restaurant and it was amazing! I got the BBQ brown sugar wings and my boyfriend had the chicken sandwich with mac&cheese on top (can’t remember the name) and they were absolutely delicious. The food prices aren’t awful but the drink prices are pretty steep. Overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back soon!

Overall I liked the experience. Some of the co*cktail waitresses were rude but some were nice. The dealers seemed to have good attitudes. I liked that they served drinks in a timely fashion and they were in glasses. During the day on Saturday the drinks were good but later on they were all too sour in the evening. We ate at Guy Fieri’s and the place was so nice! Our bartender was the nicest person we met in Tunica. Most of the employees either hate their lives, their jobs or people in general. The food at Guys was flavorless and not even hot-warm at best and fries were not fresh, which shocked me. He needs to get on Google maps so we can review the restaurant and he can make some changes. Not sure what you can do when 90% of the people that live and work in that town are so uncaring and rude. But I liked this casino better than Gold strike and will be back for the experience, regardless of the bad apples

Casino is good except for all the smoking. Should have non smoking rooms or areas to play. The hotel is outdated, the furniture is old and worn, the toilet handle was broke and toilet ran unless you did the jiggle. Overall not impressed. Staffing issues are apparent as well.

I went to the spa for a facial and a hand rejuvenation. Reese was absolutely fantastic! I would come back here just to see her! She's very professional and knowledgeable of all the services offered. Plus, She's so nice and easy to talk to making the entire experience fantastic. Thank you Reese!

Not a bad place although a tad dark. Some staff were great while others seemed bothered if they had to interact with guests. Nothing you can do but gamble and drink as everything is so far away.

This exceeded my expectations! The rooms were nicer than I expected. The lobby, casino, and public areas were nicely done and very clean. All the employees I met were friendly and helpful. The restaurants all looked updated and new. The food at the steak house was the star of the trip!

Visited this past September. Nice place. Fitness center was in a state of disarray. Broken ceiling fans. Lights not working. Pieces of ceiling tile on the floor. There was a floor fan but the motor seized after turning it on. Maybe in the middle of a renovation? Seemed like it had some potential. I'll be back again. Hopefully the gym is in better shape then.

Reading reviews on the way I was getting worried. Haven't been here in about a year, but always stop when traveling through. Don't know where some of you are staying. Hotel is not bad. I've stayed in nicer hotels, and I've stayed in way worse hotels right here in Tunica. Every person who works here that I came into contact with was pleasant, smiled, and asked how I was doing. Very friendly. tipped one dealer just because she made it so fun. Room was clean. Was not dark like some said and had plenty of outlets. I won a little, lost a little, ended up down but had a great time. Will definately be back. Thanks Horseshoe staff!

Staying here the first weekend of May 2024. The pool and Spa are not open this time of year. Sad to see a place that was once beautiful be so run down. It’s very dirty and they seem to be short staffed through out the building, from the restaurants to the casino. This hotel is very outdated. I hope they can make a come back before they are going out of business. It hasn’t been the same since Covid and now the economy. On a positive note, we are still having fun and we slept well.

Elizabeth B — Google review

Rooms are dated. The cabinet felt like it was a shock hazard with hanging wires. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the AC room temperature was cold which I like. The room smelled strongly of weed even though it was supposed to be non-smoking.The casino was actually really good. Luckily didn't cost much money because of comp credits.

Very impressive poker operation. There are games running 24/7 and good action with mostly recreational players. Tournaments are well run and there are some weekly low buy in tournaments.Pretty sure a couple regs mark cards with nail imprints so be careful, someone at my table called it out.Overall a great place, it’s relaxed, the rake is reasonable and drinks are free.

Great place! Had a lot of fun. The people there are decent, but if you're in a wheelchair and you need a handicap room, they only have one bed. They could easily put two twin beds in there, but they choose not to because they look at it's differently. I'm not going to give anything less than five stars because the people there in the service was great. I just find it incredibly offensive that you can't put some twin beds and a handicap room it's 2024 time to wake up also in the casinos the carpet is very thick so if you're in a manual chair it's really hard to get around

Current building only a shadow of what the casino hotel was like a decade ago. Had to pay for upgrade but room did not appear significantly better than original room with maybe the space for couch. Phone did not work so could not call for additional towels (or help). Room for four only came with two towels. Expect walls with scuffs, panels in disrepair, and unpolished features that come from years of lack of care or updates. Beds were comfortable. Casino was quiet with limited dining options. No more buffet. Burger bar did not accept dining credit. Price of meal appeared to be $20 per person in other venues on site, except steak house. Slots seemed dated and quiet. Table games were ok. Nothing like Caesar’s properties in Vegas.

EL C — Google review

The room was a disaster! The restroom was dirty tub and toilet. There were so many hairs and ashes on the furniture and the blanket and two of the pillows had black spots. Oddly the young lady that checked me in, strangely asked if I was sure I wanted the room I had, but I should have looked in it after I checked in, but unfortunate for me I went to have dinner. This was a total waste, and I hate I spent my money on this stay😡

Beware putting your card on file for incidentals. After attending a work conference and being told they would hold my card for $40 incidental (regular $199), for 3 days they charged and deducted from my card several times. By the time I checked out of the hotel $400 had come out of my account for “ incidentals”. With no real answers, shoulder shrugs and you’ll have your money back in 3-5 business days. Needless to say I won’t return to the hotel. The room was very nice, staff food service throughout the conference was amazing!

Everybody there was so nice, from the front desk, the cleaning staff, wait staff and all the people in the Casino. The room was wonderful. Clean, Comfy, luxurious. My husband has a bad back and is very picky when it comes to beds. He said this was one of the most comfortable he has slept in. We can't wait to go back.

Only 3 stars because all the have left are a few rooms and small gift shop. The staff was wonderful and so welcoming. Hotel was clean. Definitely enjoyed staying there. My room was more than I expected. It could use updating but since it was bought out by Cesar's I guess we will see. Half hotel is shut down no casino or food. But the rest was great. I would stay again if open when I return. Food and casino is quick walk across parking lot along with plenty of food options.

Stayed on 2/13. Check in staff was quite rude and not helpful. The Valet was friendly and very helpful. The Casino is closed and all the amenities are next door at the Horseshoe. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and very clean. The hallway smelled like it had just been cleaned and was perfumed enough to be offensive. They still charge the resort fee but we were not informed about it at check-in even though they have no amenities except next door. Overall, Tunica is a hole and the roadhouse was greatly disappointing. I should have stayed at the Horseshoe or skipped Tunica all together. I saw absolutely no reason to go back.

Loved, loved, loved, loved, loved this place. The decor was awesome and when they say free drinks they mean it! There is a button to push on the gambling machines that will bring up a menu of drinks for you to choose from and just a couple minutes later someone will appear with a drink in hand delivered right to you! It was awesome! Had a blast here. Was staying at a different casino but ended up walking to this one every night.

Everyone is eager to please and made us feel important.High five to Larry the Valet, he always greets us like he has known us forever and so eager to please.Casino even let's you win! Although I seem to donate it all back before we left.Great experience! Would highly recommend this establishment!

Graceland is a museum dedicated to Elvis Presley, the king of rock and roll. The estate is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and contains many memorabilia items from the performer's life as well as his burial site. Throughout the month of August, visitors can participate in Elvis week festivities which include music concerts and films about the singer.

You definitely could easily spend an entire day here.Places to eat. It was amazing to see especially the older style/memorabilia. Also the home video footage on several screens throughout the tour of the mansion, was neat to be looking at or standing right next to that area where it was taken. The planes were very neat, to see what he traveled in was awesome. Overall wonderful trip!

Amazing experience. Went to the tour after seeing the Elvis movie and I was not disappointed. There was so much to see and the entry was easily worth it. Spent over 5 hours here and that was without reading everything. From the mansion, car museum, records, awards, costumes I was amazed with every step. Best museum I've been to hands down.

Amazing!!! We chose the ultimate VIP experience. It was expensive but very much worth it. I'm not sure I could ever go back without choosing the ultimate VIP package. Our tour guide was, quite simply, awesome. He was friendly, caring, knowledgeable, well spoken, and yeah, awesome. We were allowed to hold an actual Elvis artifact. In this case, one of the boots from his stage worn ensembles. We had to wear white gloves, which we got to keep, and they put the boot right in our hands. Wow. Also, the package included return to the house all day and front of line access to the shuttle back and forth to Graceland. Amazing!!!

Bucket List item accomplished!!! I am thrilled to have had the experience of visiting Graceland and all of the areas across the street containing Elvis's history and items. I was very moved while at the gravesite area...the mansion is beautiful.I highly recommend a visit, it was very interesting with lots and lots to see. We also had lunch at the diner named after Elvis's Mother.I must have taken over 200 photos, but can only share some here.We bought tickets in advance, not sure if it's the only way to do so, we went in the morning and it was very busy. We arrived at the main centre, where you park and checked in, then they drove a group of us across the street (in a small bus) to the mansion. It did feel a bit rushed, but I was able to see all areas where we were permitted to go. Back across the street where you begin, there are several buildings, one with all of his vehicles, one with all of his outfits and jewellery and albums, one with his military career items, one with personal items like books, baby items and gift shops and a restaurant. It was a great experience, I am very happy to have been able to visit.

What can I say about Graceland that hasn't been said? It is an awesome place which is better than what anyone can write about it. Elvis has such an awesome, crazy, fun, and sad story. Graceland tells all these stories and love his stories. His Home and Museum really brings him to life. Graceland has so many different rooms which bring his decorating style to life. From his shag carpet walls, the peaco*cks on the walls, 3 TV Room to watch football, and all the other crazy rooms to see.

Todd J — Google review

We went there reluctantly because friends came in from out of town. We were pleasantly surprised. It actually was a good time. I was impressed with all of the museums they had there. We spent about 3 hours there and still didn't do the whole tour. Some of the areas were closed. The price we paid was reasonable. And our guests were first-timers also. And they said they really had a great time.

I have not been to Graceland since the mid-90s, but I am so glad I went back! While the house is truly a 1977 time capsule, the real amazing experience (in my opinion) are the museums across from the house, from his vehicles, military gear, the artifacts from the house over time, and stars that were influenced by Elvis. If you only have time for one, however, the museum about his incredible career over 3 decades is really something to see. Original contracts from RCA, family kept records, every piece of clothing / suit walls and the 3-story tall gold and platinum awards wall did not disappoint. It was the last thing I saw in my experience and I was simply blown away by the impact.

Would give more stars if I could. It is absolutely a fantastic place. The staff are very welcoming and have the whole experience for you planned out. There is nothing they haven't left out about Elvis. They have a shuttle bus that takes you straight to the mansion. You can take as much time as you like around the house and the grounds. Then, when you're done, get the shuttle bus back. You don't even have to wait long they are every 5 minutes.Give shops are located all around, and I found them reasonably priced. Lots to see and purchase.Food restaurant all around and again not too over priced. This is very highly recommended for all Elvis fans.

OMG what can I say. I have been an Elvis fan all my life and finally crossed this off my bucket list which surpassed expectations! Easy to get to, shuttle across the street was simple. The house is better than what you have seen in pix. His style was so cool. The living rooms, kitchen, jungle room were so incredible. We went with mom on a wheelchair and she was able to see most (she was moved from stairs around back, very smooth). Backyard with horses was gorgeous. Seeing the pool and to the meditation garden where he and family are laid to rest was somber. Awesome to be able to pay respects to the king of rock n roll!!!We did the experience tour included the plane. Honestly don't know the difference between VIP and lower your. If cash is an issue go with least expensive option since seems like u see all there is. The plane was very cool and the interactive items after the tour were a lot of fun.Definitely recommend this to all fans

We loved it! Expect lines and a lot of waiting. Even if you buy a 9:00am ticket you may be there, in various lines, for an hour before you actually go in Graceland. Buy tickets online when planning your trip to get the best time. If you buy there you may be waiting hours to go on the tour. The home is beautiful and has been kept in its same condition since Elvis passed. You could easily spend five or six hours here looking at all of the memorabilia, his planes, cars, etc. Would definitely recommend going!

Visiting Graceland is a longtime wish come true. It's a surprisingly reliable experience it reminded me of my childhood especially the kitchen. The house reflects the owner, unique and over the top but still fun and somewhat charming. The car museum is fantastic, the stage outfits spectacular as expected. The archives and personal items are very interesting. The Icons exhibit was great it shows how Elvis has influenced many other musicians. It's an important place to see for anyone interested in American history and culture.

Special shout out to Sheila our tour guide. She gave an experience of a lifetime and truly brought the stories and facts of Graceland to life. My wife and I are big Elvis fans and this was a long time coming. And it definitely was worth the visit. We got the Ultimate VIP Package. That is the top package you can get. We loved every bit of our time there. We went on a hot day, so that was the only thing that we didn't like. But you spend most of the time inside the mansion, museums, gift shops, restaurants. You do have to walk down to the planes. But we loved it all. Would definitely go back again one day!

Just amazing! It's really a must visit at least once in your life. The mansion is like stepping back in time. Just visiting Memphis is great by itself. There is so much history, good food and music. There are great hotels and many nice airbnb locations. Visiting Graceland was a memorable experience. It left a lasting impression. Going on Elvis' plane was one of my favorite experiences.

We took the Ultimate VIP tour. It was amazing. Our guide was very informative. It was so nice to be on a nice guided tour with only 12 guests. After the tour we had a great lunch at Vernon’s Smokehouse where we had the beef brisket. Delicious. The tour was on the pricey side…. But it was worth every penny. After the lunch we went back to the mansion and got loaded first on the tram due to our pass. Great day!!!

I had never taken the time to get to know Elvis but we went on a guided tour and got to explore and experience some pretty awesome things. I had such a great time and was really impressed with how well Elvis' things are being kept without taking out the authenticity of it. We got some awesome pictures and even got to white glove, touch one of Elvis' guitars. I have a new amazing appreciation for Elvis and his music and how he treated others.

Elvis is my mothers favorite person, even more so than my father! So I’m shocked it took me over 40 years to come say hi. I took a million pictures here and I’m so sad I can only post 50 so you’ll have to go to see the rest! This place is amazing! I felt so many emotions walking through this home and then through all the museums across the street. I felt like every aspect was so well thought out, creating an emotional response in me. From the good to bad to sad, you get it all. I highly recommend the VIP experience, too. You get to see rooms others don’t get to, plus depending on your level of VIP you either get a tour guided group or a headset. Granted, it’s a little costly, but I think it was worth it. If you find yourself in Memphis, I can’t say enough great things about Graceland. Make sure to stay at the Guesthouse, too!

kat — Google review

Graceland is a site I feel everyone should visit, but it’s a bit too commercial. There’s so many different packages you can buy and they all cost a lot of money. The complex is also always packed with people and the experience doesn’t feel intimate at all. At the same time, you are touring Elvis’s estate and getting to look up close at plenty of important artifacts. The tour includes all the rooms on the first floor of the mansion, other buildings on the property, Elvis’s grave, Elvis’s private planes, his expansive car collection, and the huge museum area with countless personal possessions from Elvis and Graceland. There’s plenty of signs that give valuable information about what you’re seeing and there’s iPads with headsets to give you a virtual tour. Unfortunately, the staff is very grouchy and not very hospitable. This place definitely needs better management and needs to be more friendly, but I’d still recommend visiting Graceland because there’s so much to see and learn. It’s a very fun and knowledgeable experience overall.

Frenite — Google review

Good experience for first timers but after walking around all day through tours, its a lot. Wear comfy shoes. We paid for the VIP tour. Not certain it's worth it. You get a guide giving you insights on things. They also include a couple more private areas but nothing over the top for the cost of VIP.Overall if you haven't toured, it's worth a ticket, just not a VIP IMHO.

Fully enjoyed this experience was definitely one of the best museums I have ever visited. The tour of the mansion itself was very informative and eye opening to see how Elvis lived. And while that was entertaining my favourite parts were actually the other museums such as the career one, I enjoyed seeing parts of Elvis past and also all of his outfits and awards, it's mind blowing to actually see it all in one room, and think about the immense influence that Elvis had and still has. Would 100% recommend visiting if you're in Memphis.

This was so good we came back six months later. I felt 7 hrs wasn’t enough to take it all in. I wanted to read everything and absorb it into my memory. It’s special, you will see. A bit of advice, if it rains or snows and you miss your tour time the day you go, your ticket is guaranteed all day for any tour as long as it is for that day. You’re welcome.😉

Neat place to visit if you love THE KING! Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of information to take in. Parking was easy. There's plenty to do and see. Great souvenirs. It's definitely a must for Elvis fans. Buy tickets in advance.

I’ve been wanting to go to Graceland since the 70’s…. Don’t know why! Maybe the charisma. Maybe the opulence. Maybe the music. Maybe the footwork. Maybe the car game. I now know it’s all that! At the mansion, the front living room, where Elvis entertained guest, was elegantly decorated; The decor was very classy mid-century. The jungle room was wild with all the animal prints, even the lampshades had animal print. My favorite room was the billiard room with all the fabric covered walls and ceilings…350 yards of fabric!Say what you will about the “King”…his enthusiasm for cars is not lost on me. Elvis had incredible taste in automobiles/motorized vehicles. I loved the “Entourage” experience with self guided devices. I recommend this experience to anyone remotely interested. 5 stars for me

This place is just fantastic! For what you pay for, you get everything you'd want to and then some. When you get a ticket to check the place out, you get to learn the history of Elvis, as well as the various belongings he had such as his jet, mansion, outfits, and including all sorts of history I never knew about the King. After experiencing this place, I can certainly say that's it's absolutely worth it to get a nice spring or autumn vacation time and a drive down to Memphis to explore the various goods this place has to offer!

It’s ALL here!Seeing where Elvis Presley lived and spent his final days - a literal step back in time - is something that needs to be seen to be believed. You don’t have to be a huge Elvis fan (although it helps!) as you are able to visit here entirely at your own pace. The house, costumes, cars, planes and of course Elvis’ final resting place are all here for you to stop and reflect upon. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Graceland.Note: Make sure you book your tickets in advance and (to ensure you’re not rushed) get an earlier session as this museum can take a while!

If you are an Elvis' fans, this is the place that you should visit. I never regret that I have insisted to make this trip, although I needed to drive 18 hours to go home. When you walked through the buildings of Graceland, wearing the headset they provided , you would be touched by the Elvis songs when you were walking around his sitting rooms, dinning room , the basem*nt, the trophy rooms, the museums, the garden.......You could feel that Elvis was still around us. A great experience in visiting this place, it has become like a theme park. You can understand how he had become the King of Rock & Roll ! It's amazing to see all the awards and trophies that he had won. Getting on his 2 planes experience is something you will never forget. I wonder if I could go to visit it again, because it's really too far away for me.'

Pricey for admission. Almost $300.00 for three adults. I thought that was a bit ridiculous. But what's not ridiculously expensive these days!?The tour is amazing. I like the fact you can explore at your own pace, or stay with the tour group. Also for all the info. Your offered a tablet at the beginning, and it gives you the same info, the lady said that was handing them out. It's sad, but understandable you can't go upstairs. That would be something to see for sure! What you do get to see is an amazing piece of history though, especially if your a fan!All in all I would pay the price for at least a one time,"once in a lifetime"experience.

I loved this tour. I had been to Graceland previously many years ago, but it was on my bucket list to redo. my husband and I did the VIP tour which I would highly recommend gave us access to all of the Graceland grounds and museums. I was impressed on how well everything has been done. They even had a Lisa Marie Museum that was hard for me to do it, it was very sad. I am a huge Elvis fan. My husband and I spent five hours there and even ate at Vernon’s barbecue. the food was very good. We shared a barbecue sampler plate and to be honest it was the best brisket I had in Memphis. The meditation garden was beautiful. I remembered the last time I was there. It seemed like it was junkie, but I did not feel that way this time. Everything was very neat and tidy. They also have built a new hotel right next-door to Graceland. we are traveling with our trailer or otherwise I would have loved to have stayed there. They take your pictures at the very beginning. I thought they were really cool photos and we bought them. It’s a picture of you standing in front of the gates at Graceland, which is not possible because the gates are open. I enjoyed touring the planes and going through all the museums. One of my favorite things was all of Elvis‘s jumpsuits that were on display and his gold records. If you haven’t been in the last few years when they redone this whole complex, I highly recommend going back. It is very well done.

Graceland is an experience I'll never forget. Seeing inside Elvis house, the planes, the Lisa Marie plane was so big! The collection of cars' bikes and other things was really great! But to see where he lays in heavenly peace with his family. That's an amazing thing I'll never forget. My husband and I enjoyed our visit very much. But we paid a lot to see the house. I wish they would have allowed us to see the upstairs as well. It's a lot of money to only see half the house. I do hope to take my grandkids one day.

I visited Graceland Mansion and I thought it was an amazing experience. I would love to go back. It was crowded but the wait wasn’t long at all. They’re very organized. It cost $10 to park in a gated area.I bought tickets at the box office (not online) because I wanted the ticket stub to keep as a souvenir. Probably waited maybe five minutes for a shuttle bus to pick up groups of sixteen to take us to the mansion. During the wait, a photographer takes your photo to buy for $36 plus tax. It’s worth the purchase. Makes a nice keepsake. The mansion was very nice and clean. It had that old historic home vintage charm that modern homes don’t have. You can spend as much time as you want in the mansion but once you leave a room, you can’t reenter it. You must move along to the next room. Once you exit the mansion, you can’t go back inside. You can spend as much time as you want on the Graceland Property. A shuttle bus takes you back to view the exhibits, planes, and cars. Lots of gift shops.I do think the restaurants are expensive and the staff was rude at the restaurants. I tried to place an order at Glady’s restaurant and the waiter walked off right in the middle of my order and never returned. I left and found a nice restaurant 15 miles from Graceland in West Memphis. If you love music, Elvis, vintage, history, and historic homes, then you must visit Graceland!! The decor was definitely from the 50’s-70’s era. Which I enjoyed!I disagree with the other reviews that stated the house was small and ugly. I think it’s full of history and is a flashback of multiple eras. You can feel the history! Some of the staff is rude but most were friendly and nice. Regardless, I highly recommend visiting Graceland.

Angie — Google review

The tour starts at the theater area. Then, you ride the shuttle to the mansion. It is actually best to use the shuttle rather than try to park at the mansion. The mansion itself is well preserved and captures the late 1960's and early to mid 1970's very well. The artifacts are fascinating as well.

Wow! What an experience. There is so much to see and do here. Take your time delving deep into the King's personal memorabilia, such as his gold records, clothing, cars, and so much more. I highly recommend it. I can scratch it off of my bucket list.

It's great, so worth it. I loved it, and my wife who wouldn't call herself an Elvis fan, loved it too.The house initially didn't feel worth it. Didn't feel like you had much time and was just taking tiny step after tiny step after the person in front of you, but it's really cool, even though they don't let you upstairs.I wasn't expecting much from the other exhibits but they were really great, especially the jumpsuit room, that one blew my mind.I also would have skipped the behind the scenes Elvis movie one, but that was awesome.

The ultimate tour was great. My wife is a huge fan. Happy wife, happy life. She is SOO happy. Getting to touch and see clothes, have a crazy knowledgeable guide, and access to a special room was all with while. Surprisingly, the free meal was pretty dang good as well? Really good brisket and ribs, drink and desert....all free with the pass.

Paul V — Google review

Strolling through this house was an experience I absolutely loved. It's nothing short of amazing, akin to stepping through a portal directly into the past; it's a genuine 1970s time capsule, preserved to perfection. Each room, especially the media room, felt like a meticulously curated exhibit, showcasing the best of the era's design and cultural ethos. Interestingly, the house's exterior belies its spacious interior, giving the illusion of being much smaller than it really is.Although it's a disappointment that visitors are not allowed to explore the upstairs area, I fully comprehend the reasons behind it. Venturing into Elvis's personal bedroom would undoubtedly transform a place of historical and emotional significance into a mere spectacle, detracting from the respect and privacy such a space deserves. It's a decision that, while frustrating for some, underscores the importance of preserving the dignity of those who once lived there. The peace garden, located by the pool, struck a particularly poignant note. It's a serene and reflective space, dedicated to the memory of Elvis. Walking through it, surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of the garden, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of sadness, mingled with a profound appreciation for the life and legacy of one of music's greatest icons. This visit was not just a journey through a home but a deep, emotional experience that left a lasting impression on me, providing a unique glimpse into the life of the King of Rock 'n' Roll.

This attraction will take all day. I believed hours are 10-4:30 expect to be there the entire day if you are looking to do the reading that describes every display. I did. Very informative and interesting. I enjoy my cousins trip to Graceland.

Cmora — Google review

If you're a Elvis Presley fan, this is a Must! The whole feeling was amazing! Visited his grave too ( Tip: be there outside the gates at 7:30 and beat the crowds for clear photos without too many people). Stayed at the Elvis Presley guest house hotel, very clean nice stay. We went on to see his shotgun shack in Mississippi too... Including Sun Recording studio, and RCA studio B...All worth seeing ( as said, if you're a fan, these are a must!).Highly recommend.

National museum

Sights & Landmarks

The National Civil Rights Museum tells the story of the American civil rights movement from the 16th century to present day. The museum is located in Memphis, TN, where civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968. The exhibits include photographs, short movies, storyboards, and vehicles related to the civil rights movement.

A very powerful and moving museum that I think everyone should visit in their lifetime. The museum, which is housed inside the Lorraine Hotel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed, covers much more than this assassination, from slavery to civil rights. The final exhibit takes you right by the hotel room where King actually stayed, and gives you a clear view of the balcony.I really can’t think of any drawbacks to this experience. The staff are professional and helpful and the museum is clean/well designed. Know that some areas and exhibits do not permit photography of any kind. Definitely go if you get the chance!

I really enjoyed my first visit. My husband and daughter who's 10 joined me. There were a few emotional moments but overall it was informative, well put together, there was a lot of information. It was not crowded because of the time stamped tickets purchased online. We were expecting a 1 and half hour visit but we were there for about 2 hours and 45mins. This was a great experience and I'm glad I came. There's also a gift shop with lots of great keepsakes and fairly priced. I took lots of photos but I won't post many of them because I don't want to ruin your experience.

Andri'a S — Google review

This was an absolutely wonderful museum. Very informative and entertaining. The visual aids that are displayed to help with the understanding of the history was amazing. The art work had intricate detail. My family and I enjoyed the museum greatly!

Erica D — Google review

Unique location. They used the motel where Dr Martin Luther King, Jr was killed and turned it into a museum. Stunning displays and wonderful retelling of a really dark awful part of American history. The museum is self guided. It did take us about 3 hours to get all the way through the museum.

Tammy B — Google review

This was my first and only emotionally intense yet educational museum experience. I left this place with a very heavy heart.A must see for everyone to learn the REAL civil rights movement in a time frame back from the slavery to 1960s. They don't and most probably won't teach you this stuff in the school... We spent an hour because the museum was going to close but I'd definitely spend more time here next time, a lot to digest.

Burcu D — Google review

This was the second time I have visited this museum. I have spent over three hours there and could easily spend more. Such a well done museum. Dr. King’s hotel room brought so many emotions. Also seeing all of the history that we were not taught was amazing and eye opening. A must see in Memphis!

Mj M — Google review

One of the best museums I've been to. The facility is well-maintained and the staff was warm and inviting. This museum will make you sad, it make you think, make you angry, it will make you feel so many things all at once. But mostly it will make you want to add your voice to the fight for an end to inequity of all Americans and of those wishing to become part of our nation. We are better than our ignorant and unjust past. This reminder of the dark times we've weathered, and still are, should be mandatory viewing by all those in federal public office so they might be motivated to add their voices and finally shine the light of true freedom on all.

Michele U — Google review

If you haven’t been I highly recommend it was an amazing experience and very well put together. I went to eat beforehand and was told in a very stern manner that I couldn’t bring my food in but this nice young gentleman by the name of Rodney or Ronald who is the security guard there saved my food for me until the end just wanted him to know he’s appreciated. I also want to say the staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

Shana F — Google review

I was so honored and blessed to have this experience! The Exhibits were amazing and I experienced some emotional tearful moments. I look forward to visiting again with my son and other family members as I did this as solo activity for my layover from work. I’m so glad I chose this as my day time activity !

Andreia S — Google review

Very informative and interesting history museum. Personally, I think some of the exhibits could be designed a little better as I felt like some aspects/events were repetitive. I do prefer timeline exhibits as I feel that captures history in the best way, and portions of this museum tour seemed out of place due to a significant historic moment they wanted to focus on. Still recommended when visiting Memphis!

DBradshaw25 — Google review

Was one of the best museums I've ever been too. So Much information to take in. Make sure you have time to invest as you walk through and read everything. Take pictures!!! An experience you won't soon forget.

Angela E — Google review

This museum is a must see, and beautifully designed! Employees are very pleasant, clearly love their jobs and are extremely professional. So grateful I was able to experience this. The National Civil rights museum is something that you need a lot of time and patience to go to. This place is awesome I highly recommend it, but go early so you can take your time and read through the history. If you are ever in Memphis this is a must on your tourist list it's only $18 for adults.

Fuat B — Google review

I'm not gonna lie, but visiting this place was very eerie, emotional, gave me goosebumps. It felt like I was there when it happened. I love there educational videos that you can watch to get the full story.

Shavon L — Google review

To take in the full experience you need to alot a few hours. This was a really well done museum with many exhibits but it is not self guided- it is a tour and takes time to get through. Absolutely worth a stop.

Jen G — Google review

DH and I enjoyed the museum. Very detailed and enlightened. Although we feel like more details regarding the KKK should’ve been added.I experienced many emotions during the tour. The heart wrenching segment for me was where the slaves were on the ship and the sounds of the cries of pain and hurt then they were hit with a whip. As well as the sound of the whip striking them.Be aware that it will take a minimum of two hours to complete, therefore, you should wear comfortable shoes and not heals like I did.

MESHENDIA W — Google review

It was honor to be in that spot. They have operating hours and I was late so I couldn’t get in. But I was able to stand and go through the motel from fence area. The marble explaining the story was really impressive and you can also see the mansion opposite to the hotel from here Sir MLK was shot. Pretty dark history but they have maintained the place well. It’s moving and must visit.

Jeyaraj J — Google review

No words can begin to express the power, pain and hope that comes from this sacred place. Go slow. Stop, read and feel the story that is built on so many courageous people....and know that we all have an active part to play today.

Cory B — Google review

I went to the museum on a Thursday at 11:45am during Black History Month. I purchased my tickets in advance online. There was no wait to get in. There were 5 busloads of kids that arrived when I did. Thankfully, the worker at the museum sent us to the next exhibit ahead of the kids so that we could enjoy the museum without trying to dodge the kids. This museum is moving. It is large. It is informative. You have to visit more than once. The gift shop is a little pricey but I was okay with it. I spent $60 on a shirt, a hat, two shot glasses and a calendar. There is plenty of free parking. I will definitely return.

Courtney A — Google review

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the National Civil Rights Museum, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was immersed in the rich tapestry of the civil rights movement in a way that I had never before encountered. One of the first things that struck me was the sheer size of the museum. I had anticipated a relatively small space, but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself exploring vast galleries and exhibits that seemed to stretch on endlessly. The depth and breadth of the museum's collection are truly impressive, and it quickly became apparent that a single visit would not suffice to take it all in.The museum did an exceptional job of telling the story of the civil rights movement in a way that was both informative and engaging. Each exhibit was meticulously curated, offering insight into different aspects of the struggle for equality and justice. From the Montgomery Bus Boycott to the March on Washington, every pivotal moment was brought to life through multimedia presentations, interactive displays, and thought-provoking artifacts. What impressed me most, however, was the museum's commitment to highlighting the voices and experiences of those who were at the forefront of the movement. Through powerful oral histories, personal accounts, and immersive reenactments, visitors are given a firsthand glimpse into the courage, resilience, and determination of those who fought for change.I would highly recommend allocating at least three hours to fully explore the museum, though even that may not be enough to see everything. Alternatively, multiple visits would allow for a more leisurely exploration of the exhibits, giving visitors the opportunity to delve deeper into this important chapter of history.Overall, my visit to the National Civil Rights Museum was nothing short of inspiring. It left me with a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who came before us and a renewed sense of commitment to continue the ongoing struggle for equality and justice. If you find yourself in the area, I urge you to make time for a visit – you won't be disappointed.

Santico V — Google review

Wonderful art, immersive experiences, and thought-provoking displays will make you feel like you are in the middle of it all. 2 hours didn't feel like enough time. Don't skip the gift shop. I highly recommend this museum!

Andy J — Google review

You absolutely can't miss out on this fantastic museum! My family and I had an excellent experience there, and even my 10-year-old daughter 100% engaged the whole time. Trust me, you won't regret visiting this wonderfully curated place. The employees were so friendly and knowledgeable.

The pictures I took I plan to use as a teaching resource for my students for MLK day. This museum I feel should be a must for everyone. It is well made and very poignant covering the topic and highlighting the racial injustice.

I don't have the words to give to tell everyone how amazing this museum is. I respect the beauty and the movement in this place. I cried the entire way through this iconic facility. To GOD be the glory. Amen.

Quite interesting museum. They converted the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King was assassinated into a civil rights museum. It not only has the room he stayed in preserved but other civil rights violations and tragedies during the time. Very informative and powerful

A must see when you’re in Memphis.I’m so glad I went. It was like walking through history. You felt everything & it gave an in depth history.I just can’t recommend this experience enough. Go see it.

Aaron M — Google review

Very nice museum. Site recommended 1.5 to 2 hours, we took nearly 3 to read everything and catch every video. Museum does much more than focus on Dr. King.Expect a more full overview civil rights broadly. Clean and well taken care off place. Some renovations ongoing(Same as Lorraine Motel review since it's the same place)

Notable street

Sights & Landmarks

Beale Street is internationally renowned for its funky hangouts, bars, cafes and galleries as well as renowned live music venues. The street stretches for just over a mile between the Mississippi River and East St in Memphis and is home to many blues clubs and restaurants that have helped forge the Memphis blues sound.

Excellent times here!! Great food and great blues!! We spent 2 days here and never got bored!!

Dennis H — Google review

This wasn’t what I expected. I’m glad that we did a pass up Beale St but I have no desire to ever go back.

Carrie W — Google review

We visited Beale Street yesterday (Mid March). There were just few people, so it was easy to walk around. But the atmosphere needs some more people! A lot of bars were nearly empty, so no big party. But the street and the bars are nice to walk and drink around. We had a lot of fun.

This is an iconic, lively street to stroll, shop, and eat. It reminded me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but smaller and a greater emphasis on music.

I learned about Beale Street in school and always wanted to experience it. So I stopped by while in Memphis. It was a good experience. Lots of people, dope spots and restaurants. I recommend going during the day and as a group. Worth the experience.

Takia M — Google review

It’s not worth the hype but still a cool experience. Very overpriced drinks and everyone is rude.

We visited on a Friday around 4pm because I have heard horror stories so I wanted to go in the daytime to avoid any mishaps from the craziness… There were plenty of bars and restaurants to check out… it was worth seeing the cool murals

If you're going to Memphis, you gotta visit Beale. Husband and I had fun walking with our feet "10 feet off of Beale." So many cool bars with live music and little shops. A major tourist trap to be sure, but worth your time.

Hotel

Sights & Landmarks

The Peabody Memphis is an elegant, sophisticated hotel that's widely regarded as the place to stay in Memphis when you're there. The lobby features marble columns and rich decor, and the famed resident ducks spend a good portion of their day there. There's also a pool and spa on site, making it a great place to relax after exploring the city.

This hotel is beautiful! The rooms were clean and updated. I love the motion sensor lights under the bed, so nice when you get up in the middle of the night. The staff was very nice. We didn’t get to see the duck march due to time constraints, but hopefully we can go back again and see them. The parking is great and there are a few really good places to eat nearby. I was concerned about the area when I reserved the room, but it ended up being okay. No different than any other downtown hotel. I would stay here over the Guest House at Graceland, Peabody was a million times nicer in my opinion.

Liz L — Google review

The hotel is in downtown Memphis, blocks from Beale Street and nearby to so many restaurants. The lobby is extraordinary. Very opulent. Everyone wants to watch the duck parade. We enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel. The staff is polite and professional. Prices are high for rooms and for food in the restaurants but it's all very elegant. Our room was quite small and our bathroom was the size of a closet. The garage feels safe and is very clean but it's not free, so be prepared. I'm glad we experienced this; but, if we came again, I would cough up the extra bucks for a larger room.

Nanette M — Google review

The Peabody hotel was an excellent experience from start to end! The staff was guest focused from the happy and welcoming check-in, to the duck master to the wonderful waitress for breakfast- Pimala! It was my daughter's birthday and they made every moment special! The hotel is full of history which even my teenagers enjoyed! We all loved watching the ducks be brought to the fountain and then at night back up to the duck palace. My kids loved the photo ops as well! There are great restaurants in the hotel and around it!

Flynn-Williams — Google review

My wife and I were in town for a weeding. The Peabody is certainly a nicer hotel (and wants you to know it!) the service is fantastic, as bellmen and concierge can guide your entire experience.Rooms are dated due to the hotel being an older building, but overall not bad. There are bars and restaurants scattered about for the adults, and the duck marches are fantastic for the kids. You'll need to bring your wallet, but The Peabody was a cool one-time experience. Would recommend for anyone headed to enjoy Memphis!

Clay M — Google review

This hotel was way out of my price range. We walked through to see the ducks and the hotel. This hotel is so beautiful. From the fixtures to the hand carved rails, this place was exquisite. It reminded me of the movie The Shining, without the evil. Old time telephone booths and chandeliers.

Carl L — Google review

What an amazing hotel experience. The Peabody was recommended to us by a friend and we could not be happier that we chose to stay. This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It is teeming with excitement every moment of the day and the location is simply perfect. The deli shop and steakhouse are delicious and the customer service is top notch. Of course the duck walk is one of the main attractions and our one year old couldn't get enough, he was able to sit on the red carpet and watch the cute ducks strike a pose for him. Our room was extremely comfortable, spacious, quaint, top quality. Where the Peabody consistently won us over was the customer service, everyone working there from the maintenance service individuals painting the walls, the housekeeper, the valet, the Duck Master, the elevevator attendants, everyone greeted us. They were all so cordial and kind, but none kinder than Mr. Will 😊. He put our stay over the top. I know that he works in customer service, but when you have a kind heart like he does, that can't be faked. He was so attentive, and kind to us and our rambunctious tot, making every concession and ensuring we were able to enjoy our visit as much as possible. The Peabody is lucky to have him. Here's to many more future stays!!!

ShaQuerria H — Google review

If you are staying in Memphis, why not stay in its great, historic hotel with very good service. Great location. It’s a sold four star hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the stores are of good quality. The rooms are decent but we were in a pet friendly room which no matter the hotel are never as nice.Self park is quite a distance but directly connected to the hotel. The duck parade is a fun, quirky, event to watch

Nick P — Google review

It's a nice vintage place. Rooms were spacious though had a weird wet smell. There was no fridge in the room and no coffee at all times in the lobbyFood was less than okay.Front desk were very friendly and helpful.Elevators took really a long time to come (want helpful during a conference)Unfortunately I missed the chance to see the duck marchI might go back to the hotel if I had to

Zebin Z — Google review

The Peabody Hotel is a historical *luxury hotel, noted as “the grand hotel of the South”. Numerous celebrities, political figures, etc. have visited here. Additionally, many social events, meetings, and wedding have been held here. The hotel has kept much of old architecture and design. Personally, I think it’s tip-toeing the line of historic and outdated as far it being an operating hotel. The food is decent, but nothing to rave about. Similarly, I had the same experience with the drinks.Lastly, the rooms and bathrooms are extremely small. The pool is as well, and located inside. They still carry on the tradition of the Duck Master and Marching Ducks. It’s definitely something to see and fun for the family.Do I need to go back? No. But it’s an experience. If you have the time and the money (it’s about $500/night), I’d do it once.

Naturally H — Google review

We were super excited about our stay here after two nights of camping. The rooms are beautiful, the amenities and history of the hotel are opulent. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. We did run into some snafus, some bathrooms were out of order while we waited for our room and the don't leave valuables sign in the parking garage left us a little nervous. But the duck walk and history tour, which is at 11:30 after the duck walk, I would highly recommend.

Malory S — Google review

This is a really nice, upscale hotel in downtown Memphis. It's a short walk to Beale Street, right in the middle of the city. The building has beautiful architecture inside and out. Rooms are nice, but a little dated. Our kids (even our 23-year-old daughter) loved the ducks!

Chris A — Google review

This is a lovely hotel. The detail and beauty is stunning. The room is quite large, there is a walk in closet and ample bathroom space. My only complaints about the room was there wasn’t a refrigerator or a blanket for the bed. There was a sheet and a “rubbery” sheet that didn’t do much warming. The staff is amazingly friendly. The Lobby bar has fantastic alcoholic beverages and desserts. The elevators are a little slow at times because of the ducks. The hotel is known for 5 ducks that live in a palace (no exaggeration) on the roof and spend their time in the fountain in the lobby between 11a-5p. The duck master performs the ceremony twice a day and its as cute as can be. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Yvette L — Google review

When "quackery" is preferredWe look for a unique experience when we come to a big city. Given how "The Peabody Memphis" has become linked in my mind to "Memphis" deciding to stay there was the only option and a great choice. The lobby is the definition of a charming, classic, old-time luxury hotel: beautiful decorations, staff in uniforms or suits and ties, pianist in the lobby, a movie luxury hotel come to life.We used the self-park option, which worked well. The distance from parking to the lobby was quite a way, but all under cover, with elevators and ramps as needed.Breakfast servings were generous, with more oatmeal in one serving than two of us eat at home.Hard to get fresher coffee than the French press coffee, pressed at the table. While we did not eat in the main restaurant, the description would have lured us in if we had stayed longer. The Mallard March at 5 pm was great, but crowded even on a Wednesday evening, so get there early if you want to see it well.Very nice mattress with evening turn-down service. Cute Duck soap bar in the bathroom was a great reference to the duck logo. The location was within walking distance of Beale Street. and close enough that we walked to the Civil Rights Museum. The stated room rate was very reasonable for a hotel in a big city but the bill grew with fees and the food making the overall per night stay about 50% more than the simple room rate, which still does not come close to a New York or Washington hotel cost.If we return to Memphis we would stay here again.

Lawrence J — Google review

Stayed for two nights recently in this hotel on a trip from Ireland. The hotel is fabulous and our room was beautiful and so comfortable. We loved the ducks! However our stay was made by our dinner waiter, Chris, on both evenings. He was superb! So much fun, professional and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful time! Thank you

Jackie C — Google review

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and a must see! For the price though, you are absolutely paying for the experience and not room quality. Although our room was one of the updated ones, the room still had a dirty feel. The couch had stains on it and there was a wet/humid feel the entire stay. Since the air could not be lowered, the room was uncomfortably warm and the nightlight sensors next to the bed were broken. On the plus side, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel also has great shops and restaurants and is in a convenient location downtown.

Chelsea G — Google review

The grand lady of the south. Very romantic. I had my wedding reception there. You can meet people from all over the world in the majestic lobby. And who can forget the ducks marching the red carpet to enjoy swimming the day away in the stunning marble fountain in the lobby center

Kim S — Google review

I kept reading about the Peabody in the “things one must do in Memphis” and I’m so glad we made it. What a great presentation about the history of the hotel and of course the ducks. The kiddos get to sit up front and watch the ducks walk by. Such a fun experience. We even got our own chocolate duck. Very kind staff as well. We didn’t stay at the hotel so I can’t review that.

One year ago we came to Memphis with our aunts and seriously thought Memphis would be a one and done city - and then we met The Peabody and our entire perspective changed. At that first introduction to this majestic hotel we determined at that moment we would be back and that time came this weekend. It was no less magical this visit. We planned our trip so that we could attend the Thirsty Thursday Rooftop party which was a solid play. The rooms are spacious and traditionally decorated with ducks everywhere ❤️ The lobby bar is bumping most hours of the day and genuinely a great place to hang out with loved ones, friends or simply a place to make new friends. The corner bar offers a happy hour between 4 and 7pm with $5 drinks which is accompanied by live music. The deli has magical sweet treats and the restaurants are must have world class chefs. We’ve yet to make it to the spa and a few other amenities so we’ve vowed to return again - designating this hotel as a special place for us. It truly is spectacular and no trip is complete without seeing the world famous duck march. I urge anyone planning a get a way to consider Memphis. The food in this city is amazing and you have the most grand southern hotel available to book. We’re already planning another return trip. 100P recommend.

Went there for a drink in the lobby bar after dinner. We were served right away but then waitress forgot one of our drinks (we were 5 people) While trying to get her attention a manager came to check on us and brought the drink. Ambiance is very nice. architecture is beautiful. It's clean and comfortable. Lots of people. And the story of the ducks adds to the fun.

This was our family’s first visit to The Peabody. We enjoyed our visit. We arrived at 4:30 on Friday. Just in time to see the ducks start their walk back. They made sure to pull our girls to the red carpet and get them a seat to see the ducks and then made sure to get our girls back to us. It started their trip off right. Everyone we encountered was nice and welcoming. They all had smiles for us even after a long day. You could tell they truly enjoy their job. We can’t wait to come back. The hotel is beautiful and worth the trip to see and stay at. Thank you for making our visit one to remember!

What a way to spend our 30th anniversary...music, BBQ, and DUCKS! Staying here was amazing. Everything was top of the line. The staff was wonderful, the room was very comfortable, and the location allowed us to walk everywhere! It was an exceptional way to celebrate our special day!

Rose L — Google review

Great classic hotel. While it shows signs of age that is out shined by all the character. It's has 2 fine dining options and the lobby is a great place for a relaxing drink. The ducks are a fun attraction too.

Leon D — Google review

I stayed here when I went to Graceland. Rather than stay at Guesthouse, I decided to stay at Peabody in since the location is better. Unfortunately, the neighborhood around Graceland does not have much. Peabody on the other hand is ideally located in downtown Memphis. It is so close to everything including Beale street. This hotel is also so historic and beautiful. I simply loved my time at this hotel and will definitely go back. Duck soaps are too cute!!! Most importantly, the bed was super comfy! However, if you want to see duck march by fountain get your spot early as there will be nowhere to sit. Staff were all polite.

Celina G — Google review

The staff was so accommodating. We brought our clients with intellectual disabilities and they really enjoyed watching the ducks and hearing the Duck Master present the Duck March. The Duck Master was so sweet and funny. We didn't get to stay in any rooms but I felt welcomed anyways. What a nice way to start the day. They also have a duck feeding as well.

co*ckROACHES in room 547. I went for a work trip with many colleagues and I was the 3rd person in our party (that I spoke with at least) that had to move because of co*ckroaches in their room. It is clearly infested and based on past reviews, they know about it and are simply not addressing it properly. Based on the 4 co*ckroaches I saw in the few hours I spent in the bathroom, there is zero chance prior guests didn't complain about them before they put me in there. It was utterly disgusting. I just feel bad for the poor neighbor who heard me scream at 7am when I spotted one crawling in and around my make up bag(!).At that point, I insisted on a new room but then the new room welcomed me with a toilet that didn't work. It was thankfully fixed by engineering but the whole situation was laughable by then. It's a charming hotel, beds are comfortable but this was by far one of the worst experiences at a hotel in my well traveled life. For the management team there - ducks will never be cute enough to outweigh co*ckroaches. Period. Get it together.

Did not meet my expectations. Rooms were outdated. The sheets looked dirty, as did the pillowcases (I hope it was just stains). There was also a big makeup splotch on the shower curtain. Bathroom was tiny as was the sink. Everything felt very old. Service was good, but the elevator situation was a nightmare. Trying to get to the lobby by checkout time to leave is awful because checkout is the same time as the first duck march. Everyone is trying to get down there, they have one elevator closed off, and you'll wait at least ten minutes to get one down. We ended up lugging our stuff down the stairs. We also stayed at Arrive just down the street for a few days and MUCH preferred that hotel (prices were way better too). The ducks are cool, but come for a drink and a visit...that's it. No need to shell out all the $$.

In response to your reply:I think that’s a pretty poor reply, not even an apology. I wouldn’t pair historic and dirty. The Peabody is historic yes but it shouldn’t be dirty like it is.If you are thinking about staying at the Peabody I wouldn’t. We are currently touring the USA on our honeymoon and came across the Peabody, offering 4 star luxury with a quirky duck parade. We paid over $300 for one night, a real treat as we travel through Memphis. We check in all was great, only to be greeted with a dirty bed and a dusty & dirty room. Our room was swiftly change, in our new room I peeled back the duvet to get into bed and was greeted with a large, mouldy stain on the sheet. (4 star luxury apparently) so off I went down to reception again, our room was swiftly changed to a ‘deluxe room’, so once again I peeled back the sheets to discover yet another stained sheet. So back down my husband went this time, to which he was told the head of housekeeping will come up to the room as we couldn’t go to any other room due to being ‘sold out’. We managed to get a measly 25% refund. If you like dark, dated and dirty this is the hotel for you

So we only went to see the ducks on our last night on vacation and I noticed how every staff member has a smile on their face, they are very friendly and knowledgeable! I loved seeing the ducks and I really appreciated the Duck Master came and spoke to my mom and k for a bit and even took a photo with us! I definitely hope to come back sometime soon.

This was my first time visiting and it was such a great experience. I walked in as they were introducing the ducks which was so cute. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were older but were still nice. They laid out my robe and chocolates for a "duck" tuck as they say. I really enjoyed staying here and will be back!

A luxurious five star hotel in downtown Memphis TN that doesn’t serve duck on the menu but has ducks that live in a rooftop penthouse and take an elevator twice a day to swim in the main lobbies fountain! Hundreds of people travel here daily just to see the ducks the other 1,000 it brings are for traveling reasons that want the top of the line experience and this is where to have it

Chelsea R — Google review

Came here for Mother’s Day with my 95 year old grandmother and The Peabody made it an amazing experience. The staff was very accommodating and was helpful at every turn. Rooms were great and the soap ducks were my favorite touch. Stay here if you come to Memphis

The Memphis Zoo is one of the country's most popular zoos, with a wide variety of exhibits representing a variety of different animals. The zoo is easy to navigate, and visitors can get up close and personal with many of the animals. In addition to its well-known inhabitants like pandas, grizzly bears, and wolves, the zoo also has an extensive collection of animals from across Africa, Asia, North America, and South America.

We had so much fun! Enjoyed seeing all the beautiful animals! Spending time with each other. You definitely want to go kind of early so you can have a chance to see everything or get a membership so you can go back often to see everything at a not so rushed pace. It wasn't crowded so you got a chance to see the animals without fighting for a spot to see them.

Natasha P — Google review

This zoo is so fantastic. We are used to a free zoo, and this was certainly pricey. But we thought it was worth it. We got the all inclusive wristbands… and we walked with kangaroos, fed the giraffes, rode the train and rides, and splashed in the fountain. The grounds are huge (We walked 4.5 miles) —But mostly shaded. We felt it was so very clean and not crowded. 5 stars

Incredible experience! As someone who has visited multiple zoos in the past year, I would have to say this one takes the cake. Each section is crafted with care, and the animals are very interactive and friendly. It seems like they are well-treated as well. There is such a variety here that it’s fun for the whole family! Tickets are $20, but it is by far worth it for a great experience.

Owen P — Google review

Love this zoo! I have never seen a zoo with the amount of birds this one has, including a walk-in aviary. The animals seem happy and well cared for. I was able to leisurely go through within the limited two hour window I had before my flight. I’d say another couple of hours would have included something to eat or if I had children with me. I have visited many zoos, and I highly recommend this one.

Karen — Google review

We’ve been to the Memphis zoo a few times. We even did the overnight sleepover with our Girl Scout troop. We’ve enjoyed our experience every time, and there’s always something I miss that I need to check out the next time. I wish there were better food options for families that were more affordable. Overall, it’s a great place to take your family and spend the day. We may check out the splash pad this summer there.

We were in town to watch Mississippi State University play Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl and got the chance to go to the Memphis Zoo and it was very nice! The animals were all happy and active! and certainly well taken care of! There were a lot of people but buying tickets and getting to see all the animals was very easy, because the zoo is laid out and run very well. We got to watch a polar bear dance! Panda eat and eat and eat fresh bamboo! Orangutan kid swing and jump and climb until his Mom came out and slowed him down... :) and the lights - oh my goodness did they have decorative lights everywhere! My wife, our 3 kids, our uncle Barry, and me all had a great time and I highly recommend the Memphis Zoo!

Kevin C — Google review

Very nice zoo, clean and well laid out. I wish some of the enclosures were larger, though. All the animals looked healthy and well cared for. The water park for kids is large and looks like a lot of fun. We walked pretty much the entire zoo in four hours, although if all the exhibits had been active we could have spent another couple of hours.

Ken T — Google review

The place is overall nice. Water was dirty at majority of the exhibits. The train ride was about 3 minutes. nice but not worth the wait in line. The scenery and architecture was very good, actually better than the animals. The China exhibit was very nice as well.

Rhonda G — Google review

The zoo is great but they need help with some of their employees. We asked for total experience tickets and they sold us general admission. They were closing early in the afternoon the day we went but google said they were open till 5:00. They person that “helped us” with the ticket issue said they don’t “own google” and can’t do anything about what they show. She apparently has zero experience with that because as a business owner I know WE control the information we supply to google about our business. She also said they had “pop ups” on the website but I was all over the zoo website for a couple of days and never saw a pop up about the hours that day. Please, people, train your employees better. The splash pad was closed. We saw one open food truck. We drove two hours to visit the Memphis zoo.

Rexanne C — Google review

This is the 2nd time we've gone here. We loved it! From the minute you walk to the front gate, which looks like you're entering Egypt) it's a great time. Plenty of great exhibits. My son loves giraffes so it's a plus that you can actually feed them here. It is 5 dollars just so you know, but well worth it to see his smiling face.

Art F — Google review

After driving by the zoo many times it was decided that a visit was necessary. A very impressive zoo with plenty of space to walk around. Some of the exhibits were lacking animals but the one they did have were enjoyable. It was nice to not have crouds since it was a weekday and kids are in school. Only took a few hours to see the whole place. Worth a visit if your interested. Enjoy.

Nick F — Google review

We enjoyed the Memphis Zoo. I walked 1.5 miles and still did not see everything the zoo had to offer. My favorite exhibits were the waterfall, totem poles, murals, and replicas of Pterosaurs. The Grizzly Bears, Cheetah’s and Flamingos were my favorite species. It was a bit sad watching the animals pace back and forth. Some areas seemed small for the species but appeared well kept.

BeautifulSoul — Google review

Had a great time. They are adding a splash pad on for the kiddos to play in. All of the animals seemed in good health. The zoo staff was very helpful giving us information about the critters. Made our trip well worth it.

JAMES — Google review

I had not been to the Memphis Zoo since my kids were very small and was excited to be able to bring my grandson for his first zoo trip! The zoo was very clean, the animals look well kept and the staff was very friendly and informative. The zoo has grown since the last time we were there and unfortunately we were not able to experience the whole park. But we cannot wait for our next visit. The only disappointment was the food- not all food facilities were open and what we did purchase was not very good. Everything else was great. Loved the nocturnal area and the butterflies! The giraffe feeding was a cool experience! Would definitely recommend to all ages...

Renee M — Google review

It feels small and older.Perhaps my zoo expectations are high as I live in an area with high ranking zoos and therefore my perception is askewThe enclosures for the large animals seemed small for them. They didn't seem very happy. And I think the large cat exhibits don't have big enough barriers for current recommendations. We were very disappointed that there were parts of the zoo that we had to pay extra to visit. Butterflies and kangaroos specifically. And with everyone feeding the giraffes, there were no giraffes to just see from the other side for free.None of the children's/petting area animals were out, which was a disappointment for usThe splash park is a nice feature. I can see that being very attractive with younger children. We appreciated the nocturnal building. That was well laid out and fun.The zoo is laid out nicely and we had no problems traversing it. Though there is no android app to get a digital map. Maybe just a link to an online map would be better than an app to download? It wasn't the worst zoo I've visited, but it just felt old and out dated.

Christine R — Google review

It was beautiful from the very start as we were waiting in line through the end. We were greeted with "snow" which added to the majesty.Christmas lights are my favorite part of the holiday and this was exactly what this old heart needed. You have to buy tickets online. They do not sell tickets at the gate.

Dana S — Google review

Memphis Zoo was fabulous.. It's been years since I've gone to a zoo. We purchased the total experience tickets, which include the train ride, the 2 rides, the tram, and the giraffe feeding. It was so much fun. The Giraffes were beautiful. The lion talked so loud. It was fun to see and hear. The tram ride goes around the park very short, but the driver, she is awesomely entertaining .It was worth getting the upgraded tickets. The food is regular fast microwave food. We didn't like it, but we had so much fun, no one was worried about eating.Yes, we would go again. When you purchase your tickets online, you get better parking. There was no wait on the weekend in October.

Dee F — Google review

It was a decent sized zoo and a nice place to go sightseeing with friends and families. Overall, the animals looked well taken care of. It just needs a little upkeep with some places being closed down and looking rundown.

Kathrina L — Google review

This is probably one of my favorite zoos! We visit a zoo every time we travel. This one had several animals that we had not seen anywhere else. They also have a splash pad during summer! It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I am sure we will visit again.

Karen B — Google review

We visited from Missouri. We LOVE the Saint Louis Zoo (it’s free so hard to beat)! We really enjoyed this zoo! The animals are extremely close and seem to want to engage with each other and visitors. There are many different animals to see. We spent four hours here and my kids never complained of boredom. The giraffe feeding was a unique and fun experience for my children! We ended up paying $124 for our visit which is steep compared to the free visits we take in Saint Louis but it was worth it. We would come again.

Been to a few Zoos around the country and the Memphis Zoo is one of my favorite so far. I am a member so I don't have to pay for parking but keep in mind that is something that goes along with paying for admission. The animals looks very healthy, happy and on weekdays it is pretty empty letting you get some great views of the animals. I would highly recommend going here at least once if you live in the area or if you are visiting Memphis!

Cory S — Google review

Had a great experience will definitely return in the future. Saw a bunch of animals that I haven't seen before at our local zoos. Everyone was so nice at gift shops and drink stations

Ranee C — Google review

Unfriendly staff and very highly stressed animals in undersized enclosures left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My degree is in ecology and biodiversity. I have worked at Zoo Atlanta and at the Georgia Aquarium. I have worked with captive wild animals and I know a lot about animal psychology and captive behaviors. If you know anything about animal behavior, like me, you will have a BAD time.Every mammal species (except for the Sumatran tigers) exhibited signs of distress. Big cats panting and pacing in small circles (jaguar, clouded leopard, cheetahs), one clouded leopard is balding on its tail from excessive grooming, the hippos swim in tight circles, and the elephants sway side to side without moving. All are stress behaviors. I have studied animal behavior in zoos and, while they are providing enrichment activities for most of their species, it doesn't resolve the fact that there is simply not anywhere near enough space for these animals. There are three cougars in a very small enclosure. Some of the reptiles and fish are kept in tanks or housing significantly smaller than what the ideal captive footprint should be. This zoo is an older zoo, one of the oldest in the country, and we have learned an almost immeasurable amount in regards to animal welfare since then. And despite investing over $116,000,000 on renovations and expansions, it just isn't enough.Aside from that, while I was there, there were maybe ten other guests who were determined to visit on a cold, rainy day - I came across two non-staff members. I encountered quite a few keepers and almost none of them even acknowledged my presence. I don't expect people to stop and say "hi, what's your life story" but when your staff doesn't even make eye contact with the one single guest in the entire visible area it is a bit off-putting. I felt essentially unwelcome, similar to the feeling of wandering into a restricted area and having no idea how to leave, except I was in the main exhibit areas. You also have to pay $10 to park and an additional $25 per adult for zoo entry. Nowhere on the website did I see anything mentioning paid parking. Certain exhibits cost an additional fee to enter. Honestly quite disappointing.

Suzanne H — Google review

Great zoo, friendly staff! If you have a trailer with you, they will show you where to park and let you in the back door. We will definitely go back again!

Beatrice C — Google review

Haven't been to the zoo since I was a kid! I was pleasantly surprised by the new exhibits and loved the overall kindness of the staff as well. Parking wasn't a hassle, and the tickets are inexpensive. I recommend going on Tuesdays when they're discounted (for TN residents only I believe). If you plan on being here all day with children, there's plenty of spots to sit down and sectional seating near restrooms. Vending machines throughout in case you need a drink, but in some parts of the zoo food and beverages aren't allowed. A fun and educational experience for all ages. Will be returning very soon with my nieces and nephews!

Alexis ( — Google review

My older son absolute loves animals. We have to visit any Zoo possible. We have even been to Zoos like Brasov - Romania and Szeged Hungary. The Memphis Zoo is ranking probably at the top of the list right now. Everything is spotless. The entire landscape is well taken care of and very clean. No dead leaves, random branches, misplaced stands, etc. On top of everything the animals were very active and they all seem to have pretty good size cages which we always love. The entire Zoo theme is pretty cool too. Very pleasantly surprised and felt like the money was well worth it!

Ruth B — Google review

The Memphis Zoo is genuinely one of the best zoos in the USA. They have a wide range of animals. They have interesting enclosures and interactive areas. About every hour there is a Zoo Keeper talk where they show off specific animals, like the seals or birds of prey.If you have children and live close, the membership pays for itself, and I highly recommend it.In the spring, there is a butterfly enclosure which is pretty cool.

Dakota B — Google review

Zoo light! It was prettier than expected and there were many guests who came in groups of friends and families. When I had time, I also saw a magic show and it was a good experience. The taste of the snacks is so-so, but it's not bad because it helps animals. There were a lot of people, but we took a lot of pictures and had a good time.

Wooded park on 13,000 acres with hikes, bird/animal watching & lake, plus lodgings & horse rides.

Stayed in cabin #1. About a 10 to 15 min drive from welcome center. The pet friendly cabin was clean and stocked with pots, pans, dishes ,utensils and stemware! The cabin had a television with cable for rainy days. The furniture is what I expected for a pet friendly affair. You can sit on it but it could use more padding. We truly enjoyed our stay so much so that we booked the cabin again for next year!

We've been camping there for 5 nights. The place itself is beautiful. You camp in the middle of nature. The Rangers are very friendly. There is a nice hiking trail with different challenging loops accessible from it. The only downside I experienced was the restroom. Outdated, falling apart and in dire need of Restauration.

A nice campground with clean restrooms and showers close to Memphis. We stayed here for the Mammoth March and found it well equipped.Note the visitor center closes at 4. They do have some gifts in the gift shop as well as firewood instead, so it's nice and dry. There are hiking trails in the park, though we didn't visit them.

This park is remote so don't expect to use any electronics. It is expansive and has both a lake and trails. It is also only a few minutes drive to the Mississippi River. Camping here was wonderful!

Tim at the visitor center was very helpful. We rented a cabin on Poplar Lake. We would happily rent it again. There are record size trees, and you can drive down to the Mississippi. We went to see wildlife.

My extended family (12 households) greatly enjoyed the weekend at this park. The cabins were top notch, hiking trail was amazing, the kids loved the playground, and the staff was helpful and left us alone.Everyone was respectful of our privacy and our kids was able to enjoy nature without us worried about strangers.Even better was the country store and gas station nearby that getting supplies and a pickup point easier.

JC S — Google review

Small campground; but quite and clean. Canopy of trees at each site so one would not want to be camped there during a lightning storm or a strong wind storm for fear your rig would be damaged. We really liked it. There is no cell service at all or Wi-Fi. We have Verizon and no bars for 2 mi out of the campground. Since we visited a mid April, there were no mosquitoes. There is a dirt path trail we really enjoyed.

Great place. What a joy. Nicely taken care of. A true Gem. I cannot express how much I love this place for walks and nature. MS river is great. Just so much here. I felt safe, a big plus for the area. Cabins to rent. Maps available for free.

We have rented a cabin one year and this year we tented in their campground. Both experiences were great. The parks are clean and park personnel patrol occasionally to make sure the area is safe. There is a land phone near the restroom with a list of park contacts if you have any concerns or questions. There are two lakes and the Mississippi River in the park. There is kayak and small boat rentals on the bigger lake, lots of fun!

Kaylee T — Google review

Check-in was easy, there are a lot of hummingbird feeders on shepherd's hooks in front of the office so it is really nice to sit and watch them. No reception at the park, only spotty reception at times in our camper. I left my cell phone in our table and i would get some messages here and there but it was hard to tell where the reception sweet spot was. You can get reception at the visitor center and at the nature center. The park itself is big but the campground area is small and limited. It's near the Mississippi River so you can go fishing if you like that sort of thing. I don't remember but there are approximately about 20 spots or so.There is also Shelby Forest General Store, a quaint general store with a wonderful cook/owner. They have a good variety of items if you don't want to drive into Millington for any items.

My favorite quick getaway spot to camp. It’s well maintained, with adequate facilities. There is poison ivy too close to camp sites, so pay attention to where you are setting up. There are lots of trails for a nice hike, which the dogs love. All of the rangers are really kind and helpful. It’s also a great place for a picnic day.

A beautiful restoration of the boyhood home of the musical legend. We learned the history of the Dyess Colony. We admire the strength of those who were resettled there to build their families and their community, and understand how Johnny's music was formed from this upbringing.

Myself and a few friends all from New York who are Hemingway fans were on a waterfowl hunting trip in the Piggott area and found ourselves stuck in a hotel room due to bad weather. When we googled, “Things to do in the Piggott area” we were surprised to find out that the museum was a short drive away. We showed up on that rainy Monday without calling and in the middle of lunch hour and were pleasantly surprised by Autumn Who made us feel welcome and grabbed a couple of umbrellas to keep us dry. She gave us a tour of the House as well as the surrounding buildings and local history. Autumn was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and we were absolutely floored about amount of knowledge she shared with us. All absolutely interesting and amazing. The museum is a must visit place if you are in the area.

This site is wonderful and well worth the drive to get there! Mr Buddy's tour was fascinating, educational and inspiring. The Hemingway anecdotes were very interesting but the story of his in-laws was the true revelation. They were true philanthropists and the efforts they went to help the surrounding area during the Great Depression were astounding. I would highly recommend diverting of the beaten track to check out this wonderful museum.

Really great museum experience! The tour was full of interesting information about the Pfeiffer family and their many impacts on the history of the United States as well as their influence on the life of Ernest Hemingway. I highly recommend visiting and asking for Buddy as a guide; he presented an abundance of information in a fun and interesting way!

In a state known for its diamonds, the Hemingway-Pheiffer home/museum is particularly brilliant.. The Museum is a shining example of well-preserved, lovingly cared-for buildings and artifacts of another era. It is a standing tribute to the Pheiffer family who made the house their home, led by compassionate and enterprising example, and welcomed the young writer, Ernest Hemingway, into their home, as a son.As a writer of guidebooks, I can tell you that Buddy stunned me with his broad and encompassing knowledge. He was delightful, deep, and engaging. Please book with him if you get the chance. He filled in gaps in my own knowledge and added interesting details that make me want to return for more. I think many people will feel the same.Shannon, Karen, and Teresa, the staff at the Museum and at the Karl and Matilda Pheiffer property adjoining the museum property, were so warm and welcoming and made my friend and me feel a little like “sons” too, finally come home to this welcoming place. What a wonderful experience.

If you ever find yourself near Piggott, Arkansas, I highly recommend this tour. The Pfeiffer House is charming and rich in its history. Our tour guide Buddy was one of the best I've ever seen. This place has everything you need to unwind and have fun1. Great drinks and prices2. Loose machines that were lighting up everywhere3. An approachable and accommodating staff4. Clean bathrooms that smell good5. Hospitality staff6. Good food on their cafe7. Plenty of parking for big trucksThe riverboat casino is always a win. The coolest thing was hearing the machines light up winners and bonuses around us. We doubled what we came in with. The views on the water were gorgeous especially at sunset.1000000/10 If you are ready this, go check it out

The best part about Century casino is the Waterside Express snack bar...employees are pleasant, kind, and attentive and our food was so pretty and deliciously made by Kelsey Lockridge⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Felicia W — Google review

It was nice. It was my first time there, so compared to tunica, it's a little underwhelming. If you are just looking for a close getaway to play slots on a budget, this is the place. The concession stand is at a good price, too

Brandon S — Google review

It's a fun place and beautifully decorated,, however just wanted to ✔️✅ the place out since the remodel,, however the slots are crowded together. 5$ on a 1 second slot 😂😂 no luck and we left.but enjoyed the small visit. However never know could be the next millionaire to Walk away and start traveling would be very very Nice

Third time stopping here, I try to give a fair shot before reviewing. From a out of state travelers perspective, this place isn't worth the gas it takes to drive off the interstate. 89% payout. I'd honestly be surprised if it were even that much. This is NOT a place to bet big, .05¢ 10¢ and up denom.. good luck couldn't hit 1 bonus all 3 times I've been here on those denoms. Ended up slumming it min betting to stay longer that it took to drive off the interstate. Hit all 3 bonuses on 1 machine.. they typically pay well when you get all 3 at once... not here. Not even a 10X bonus.. Sad because I love these off the beaten path casinos, but too many are Uber tight and don't draw out of town money. I certainly don't mind loosing but this place don't even hold entertainment value as fast as they drain your money. Could atleast let people play for a bit.. It's a shame really, I hope they donate a lot of money to the community.

Donnie G — Google review

Definitely the low end of casinos. Pretty much if you don't play craps or poker don't bother for table games. They have a lot of slot machines but they ain't paying out much. The cigarette smoke is overwhelming if your non-smoker do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to where they at least invest in Smoke Eaters. The lady at the desk was lovely but your new customer sign up bonus only happens if you spend $600 that day then you get to draw for potential ten bucks so again skip it it ain't worth it. Also you're going to end up parking about a mile away from the casino and walking across the Mississippi River ramp to get to the casino and leaving there if you are elderly are in need of help it is extremely hot, and steep.

V M — Google review

Nice RV parking area to stay for the night while traveling. Right on the river with clean, modern shower rooms. Price could be cheaper as there is a casino, but no other amenities besides the shower house, and the price matches parks with camp stores, dog parks, play areas, picnic tables, fire pits etc....

ddsuarez — Google review

Most casinos are open and full of lights, this one was dark and really cramped! Lots of slot machines, but several were not in service and there was very little space to move around. Would be nice to have a non-smoking area. The food selection was limited to just grill food, which was disappointing. Most of the staff there were very nice. We plan to return once they’ve completed their expansion and see if improvements were made.

C B — Google review

I would give zero.. we went to spend some money.. my husband bought me a mix drink and him a beer.. set down 3 security guys came up ask for his id and ask how many beers he has had.. we was just sitting there playing a game and got harassed.so now the think The r to good .. if u don't want people to drink take the bar out

Shannon E — Google review

Overnight RV stay. For this reason, it was ok. Noisy, car alarms going off, loud muffler road noise. Concrete pads, full hookups. Kinda pricey @ $50 a night. Did not go into the casino, except to pay. They have a huge construction going on the outside, so follow the signs for parking. Barge traffic is abundant on the river. To see it, you have to go beyond the shrubs. The gazebos are infested with swallow nests, and bird droppings so beware.

Joy S — Google review

Don’t believe any positive reviews! The absolute worst casino that I have ever visited. I went last week and they only had six video poker machines and one of those wouldn’t work. The rest are the newer type of slot machines. It was hard to find a place at the one craps table, stud poker table, 21 table and a few other tables. They show the menu for the restaurant and I get there and there is no restaurant but a snack bar. You heard that right, only a snack bar.The hotel is nice and clean. Don’t believe any reviews about them having any sort of breakfast. Some said that you get a bag with a fruit bar…they discontinued that a few weeks ago. This all boils down to some very misleading reviews.

Christopher O — Google review

The casino is very nice. However the air handlers cannot handle high volumes of people smoking so it becomes very thick inside of the game room. The games are very close together in the aisles so navigating between them without bumping into someone is hard. Personally didnt like the atmosphere.

Teri B — Google review

I have enjoyed my time at this casino! I am a big blackjack player and have had winning and loosing nights of course, but I can make my night last for awhile at this casino with $250 so zero complaints. The staff has also always been very nice and respectful!! The only reason I leave a 4 star is there is only one blackjack table normally open. Most of the time it is okay but I have also come on nights where the table is full and there is a wait. Other than that it has always been a great experience!

John M — Google review

My sister and I celebrated our 79th Birthday having a great time at the Casino. But we forgot to go back to get our shirts. Forgot about them and only remembered when we arrived home. Maybe next year for our 80th we can get them.

Jean M — Google review

Granted they are in the middle of a huge reconstruction period, This place was terrible. A variety of machines crammed into a very small smoke filled few rooms. Honestly when I came through the very front door I thought the place was either abandoned or temporarily shut down. Almost every place I sat at was covered in sticky filth and half the buttons didn't work, but a few did offer wireless changing so that's a plus. Tables look very unimpressive and not worth chancing. I did enjoy walking the bridge going out to the "boat" casino area. It's very unique in design.

Reelfoot Lake State Park

State park

Nature & Parks

Park

Nature & Wildlife Areas

Bodies of Water

Large lake park featuring cypress trees, aquatic plants & American bald eagles.

Excellent campsites, price, spacing and views! Firewood is $6.Best spots are 2, 3 & 15-20. All by the water. 2 functional bath houses that are cleaned every morning.Kayak rentals and boat ramp are by spots 2 & 3. Convenient and great spots for us kayakers but you're gonna have a lot of foot traffic. The campground was packed out but everyone was respectful, nice and quiet.# 15 is by the pavilion so if you're tent camping, you have a dry place to hang out if it rains. But the best spot is # 20. No foot traffic and private, by the water and not far from the bathhouse.Next door, within walking distance from spots 2 & 3, is the resort and restaurant, Blue Bank Fish House, with excellent comfort food and waterfront views! (See my review for Blue Bank Fish House) Don't forget the mosquito repellent!

Amy Q — Google review

It was cold and very windy and as you see in the photos there was a lot of ice. This is a very beautiful place with lots of places to walk. There are many Eagles and the Cypress trees and just stunning. I was surprised as cold as it was how busy it was, but with it's beauty and easy access I can understand. The boardwalks are well built and I would assume could easily be used for wheel chairs. The restrooms were clean and maintained as well.If you have time, stop off and visit the beautiful Eagle that lives there. He is very attentive.

Shelly Y — Google review

I wish we could have stayed longer. The place is absolutely beautiful and the campsites are paved and level. No sewer connection, but that was not a problem for us. The bathhouse was nice, although the shower head was a bit low for me. Not really a problem.

Tony M — Google review

First day fishing here! Windy and sunny! Our guide had us using a Garmin to fish with and a 16 foot pole. It was so different, nothing like I have ever fished before. Still had lots of fun and enjoyed the day!

This place is just gorgeous and so serene! If you're a lake person, you have to come experience this! 🥰

We enjoyed camping at Reelfoot Lake State Park. The campground is nice and the bath house was clean and had nice, hot water. We rented kayaks at the check-in station for a few hours and really enjoyed it!At the Park Visitor Center, we took a sunset boat tour. Ranger Douglas did an amazing job and we loved the tour! We were able to take some great sunset pictures, saw a couple of eagles, and saw many Osprey and other birds.

Really breathtaking park. Beautifully maintained and the views are amazing. I don’t think I saw one piece of trash. Great place for families to have a picnic with room for children to play and covered tables. Nice playground, nice, safe neighborhood and easily accessible.

Renita T — Google review

Mix of old and newer bathrooms but well maintained. Very, very friendly host. You can see a variety of wildlife or park resident mascot animals. lolReelfoot lake is massive and serious or recreation fishermen will have a blast staying here.

Jackie K — Google review

The park needs a serious renovation. The camping spots are very short. And I couldn't even fit my camper and my truck in the same spot I had to park my truck in the grass. I got to give them credit though the showers were very hot, and had great water pressure. But other than that there's really not a whole lot to do around there, and the constant barrage of Cypress nuts and persimmons on the roof of the camper all night long, kind of got annoying.

WeaponX N — Google review

Super photogenic state park - specially before spring season where you see white dry broken trees around as well as inside the lake. Very nice scenic view. It's little off road from I55 and you'll have to drive on single lane road for about 30 min but it's worth driving for such an awesome view. There's no restroom with running water so you manage with the dry portable one only. No food options either nearby few miles.

Punit — Google review

I camped here for one night. The campground is lovely, paved spaces, some with full hookups. Lots of trees for shade and a lovely breeze off of the lake. There is a resort next door with a restaurant and bar. The restrooms and showers were very clean.

Kate J — Google review

Nice park, with unique trees. The river cruise was closed but there are other boat rentals available from Boe's landing. Without the boat tour it is difficult to appreciate the beauty of this park. The birds, especially the bald eagle was a nice touch.

Great little museum with a small gift shop. Many interesting things to learn about. The gentleman there is very informative. If you ever get a chance to drive through the area, stop by.

This museum was enjoyable to visit. You can spend an hour or so on it and get a history of the New Madrid area. We were greeted with with good hospitality coming in the door. If you have any questions you can be assured that they could be answered. I recommend you take some time to visit the museum and relax and enjoy a history lesson!

Visiting from the uk and decided to stop by here on our road trip - this museum was the highlight of the town and also several of the other small towns !!! Jeff was absolutely amazing and so passionate and I mentioned how I was into historical fashion and he showed me the incredible (if not slightly haunted) upstairs ! The museum itself had so much information and artefacts from all different time spans and this was overall one of the highlights of our trip!! Thank you Jeff !!

Georgia B — Google review

This little place packs a punch!! We definitely didn't realize how much wonderful history was packed into this museum. We stayed for a little over an hour, but had we arrived earlier we could have easily made it 2 or 3.The video at the beginning of the visit definitely helps with perspective, so please don't discount it. Don't forget to visit the upstairs!!Plenty of parking space and once done you can walk across the street for a wonderful view of the Mississippi River.Highly recommend.

R. M — Google review

Small little museum, but Jeff was very helpful and informative. Nicely spaced out and organized.Have wanted to visit this area ever since I was a kid and heard the stories about the New Madrid Quake. I wasn't disappointed. I would visit again.

I saw the museum three years ago, but only had time for a quick visit to the river, this time. Standing on an actual earthquake fault line is pretty fascinating.

Friendly staff always greet us. This museum is packed with histrical data from the area. There is also a small gift shop with some hand painted items.

This is a really cool place to say you were there. There is a small museum that you must go through. It had a lot of things to look at and take pictures of.

Packed with information! A collection of items far beyond what you'd expect in such an out of the way place. Jeff is very friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and well informed. Ask questions! One of the best collections on site is the information in his head! Also, a great collection of antiques giving insight into American history. and an impressive collection of intact Native American artifacts, not just shards.

This place used to be nice but now they need more stores. I don't understand why they don't have them. They are right at the intersection of interstate 55 and interstate 57. There is so much potential with this location.

Noel L — Google review

About half the stores closed down, but shoes or baby clothes, and your good.✌😎

There's a lot of closed businesses at this location. I guess the pandemic hit the mall pretty hard. Just a few stores left.

Actually went to Carter's children's Wear. Was a great store and the clerk on duty was super nice and very friendly. Helped find a nice jacket for our child and new gloves too!

Jessie H — Google review

Hardly any stores. There is a Carter's, which was nice. However, prices are the same as online. It was nice to see the products in person. But not worth the time.

Julie D — Google review

Stores were very limited. Kind of bittersweet. Only a handful of stores and kind of looks like it is dying.

Sarah R — Google review

Great new Flea Market!!! Right off the Interstate! Lots of booths! On the way to Lambert's!

Bunny G — Google review

This outlet has really gone down hill. They are not but a few stores remaining. We went to Carter's and a Flea Market. As always, I find the cutest baby clothes at Carter's.

Sandra M — Google review

I'd say 90% of the shops have closed up there since the pandemic and never reopened. Less than a handful are left remaining. Sad, it was once a sprawling strip mall, bit no longer.

Michael T — Google review

I only went to the Flea Market and not to any of the other stores. I HIGHLY recommend the Flea Market - it is the cleanest and well organized. The people there were also the nicest and friendliest I have ever encountered. I will definitely stop by on my way to Florida next time if I can fit it in to my schedule!!Consider opening a new flea market like this one in Panama City, Florida please!!

MISHIA O — Google review

Wish there were more stores. Really liked the new indoor flea market they have. So much to see!

Kimberly D — Google review

I went and checked out country Pickens the new flea market to see about a booth and it was really clean. Very cheaply priced items and I almost don't want to go get a booster because I'm going to have to lower my prices to compete. But really I'll probably get a booth there pretty soon. They're cheap and it's a good business and a way to get the factory outlet mall back up and running with more stores in there

Nature & Parks

Park

Sprawling park featuring native trees, historic petroglyphs, hiking trails & an Olympic-sized pool.

Great open park with cliffs and rolling hills. I went when it was December so no one was there. They have Petroglyphs to look at, trails, boat ramps, the Big River access, pool, RV and camp sites, cabins, little store. Very cool State Park to visit or stay the weekend.

J. H — Google review

We rented a 2 bedroom cabin for 5 days. We were able to bring our dog. The cabin was very clean and surrounded by trees so you can't see cabins on the other side of you but you can see the ones across the street. There is minimal cookware in the kitchen (only one frying pan so you can't make bacon and eggs at the same time). There was no bedding in the cabin for the sofa bed the first night, unfortunately we realized that after the office was closed so my son had sleep on the couch covered in beach towels. Definitely check to make sure you have linens before the store closes. The park itself was nice. The girl in the store wasn't very knowledgeable when we asked her about fishing and stuff. There is a pool, the fee is $8 a person even if you won't be swimming and are there just to watch your kids. While the pool water was clear, the walls of the pool were covered in slimy green algae which was gross.

Christa B — Google review

It is an absolutely beautiful park. I've hiked three of the five available trails several times. Love all of the seasonal changes here. It's a new park every season.

Julie H — Google review

Very nice State Park. Smaller campground than some other parks, but the sites are paved and for the most part, pretty level. Nice hiking trails and good access to the Nig River. Many playground and picnic areas, and some scenic views too. As like most Missouri state parks, it's well maintained and beautiful.

Kevin G — Google review

Beautiful Fall camping on the basic site. A little rocky soil but that's common in MO state parks at the campgrounds. Nice views and trails and all the staff and fellow campers were friendly.

Jamin G — Google review

Loved the scenery, loved being on the river. We had to walk the boats like 5 or 6 times due to low water. We also had to get out and figure our way around some big fallen trees with narrow waterways.

Crystal S — Google review

Just a great experience camping here. Campsite 38 was the perfect spot to be tucked away for a quiet secluded trip. Pet friendly and just super beautiful.

Mary T — Google review

I love this state park. There's a lot to do here including hiking, swimming, picnicking, camping, and viewing Native American petroglyphs. The campground is very well maintained and there are some friendly stray cats there.

We went on a winter hike today. It was very nice. We did a 1.5 mile trail and walked down to the river and walked around there. There were a few other folks there. Pet owners were respectful and had their dogs on leashes.

An awesome place for the nature lover...The Thunderbird Lodge is a historic stone building built in the thirties...The Big River runs through the park and offers a nice area for swimming or just being...Isaac was working at the Thunderbird Lodge the day we visited...the lodge is open seasonally for campers and visitors alike...A great way to spend the afternoon...will definitely visit again...

Rhonda B — Google review

Though the state park contained within the 2 main highway entrances is a nice place to visit anytime of year, I'm going to speak on the boat launch which is down the highway a mile or so. It's a real decent place to go even if you are not launching a boat. It's got trails around it and bluffs up and down the river though be careful with them as they appear to be crumbly. No camping or campfires for some reason? Has a bathroom and trash cans and is well maintained. If you're looking for a place to let the pets out to use the bathroom without worrying about the masses at the main park, this is it.

Todd J — Google review

Little bit of heaven in the great state of Missouri. This park is so peaceful and quiet and vast. Great place to hike and just enjoy the great outdoors and if you want a strenuous hike to really get your heart pumping I would advise the thousand boulder hike.

I went at the perfect time in Spring 2023! I was a littler nervous because I've never been here before. But as soon as I parked at my campsite, my face just lit up! I was so happy. The 2 nights/1 day I spent there was epically beautiful! The wind was cool, the sun warm, perfect balance of temperature! I also went exploring the campground and had a great time with my dogs!

Sarah S — Google review

My go-to campground while visiting Haunted Ridge Rocks to dig crystals. Nicely spread out sites, clean, good cell service, cool Petroglyphs. Two nights was only like $24 to camp in my jeep or in a tent.

Great park to camp out with family and friends. Campsites & trails are well maintained. Park also has a pool (dint visit). The washrooms are accessible & clean. Small play parks for kids near the washrooms. The river is approx 2miles drive from the campsite.

Guruprasad K — Google review

Beautiful park. Came to see the petroglyphs but wanted to check out the whole park while we were there. Checked out the river, camp lodge store. Cabins, overlook and campground. Definitely might be back for a cabin or campground stay.

Beautiful! Fall is the perfect time to visit. The leaves changing color os simply stunning. Nickel and I hiked the Opposum Track trail. It was around 2.5 miles long and it was of moderate difficulty, which was a nice challenge. We went slow and took our time and didn't have any trouble. Slow and steady wins the race. It took us a little over 1 hour 45 mins, but we stopped and took the view in at several places.Beware, it goes over several steep inclines and some decents that are rocky and when wet leaves cover the rocks it can be quite slippery. Many different sites and things to see along trail. One of my favorite trails in Mo!

A great 2 mile hike for my little ones and I...medium level. I had to carry my 5 year old the last 10mins but overall, she and my 8 year old loved this winter hiking adventure and it was a step up from easier hikes we've done!

Michelle K — Google review

Awesome 2 mile trail, took about an hour and a half with lots of stopping for pictures. Such a beautiful park and amazing views on a fairly moderate hike! There are a few wooden staircases located along the mostly dirt trail, and look out for rocks and roots. Trail can be a little slick/muddy at the beginning. There are tons of caves, amazing rock formations (some you can walk through/under), and a few small waterfalls along the trail. This was such a fun trail and so worth it!

Amanda B — Google review

Absolutely the BEST hike ever! It’s relatively easy for a beginner as it is short (4 miles) with a well maintained trail. This isn’t a handicap friendly trail. There is a short flight of stairs in one area. I don’t feel like I’m in Missouri when I hike here. The scenery is extraordinary with amazing and huge rock formations, caves, every type of mushroom you can imagine, tons of trees, streams, creeks, lots of interesting foliage, and it reminds me of an enchanted forest. Count yourself LUCKY if you get to experience this treasure!

Ashley J — Google review

Great park! Loved everything about it. Moderate hike for the average hiker. I only gave it 4 stars because the trail marking was really bad. Couldn't have done it without all trails.

Thomas H — Google review

This is a short hike and not too difficult but there is some change in relief so it's not necessarily extremely easy. It's one of the most memorable hikes in Missouri with the sandstone and limestone outcroppings and various uncommon formations. There are long rocky cliff ridges and a couple high views, and streams and a small waterfall in the lowlands. There were people throughout the path on this weekend hike so don't expect solitude but it also was not congested and most of the time there was no one nearby.

Scott K — Google review

The trail here is rather rugged, with steep parts and narrow places to squeeze through. But the scenery is amazing, so definitely worth the hike! We visited in early spring before there was much foliage, but there are lots of evergreens to make things pretty, and the rock formations are unlike anything we'd ever seen.See more photos at https://adobe.ly/4dxjkyq.

Wow! Beautiful trail 2 miles long. Not suitable for persons that have difficulty in climbing and walking on uneven surfaces. If you haven't been it's worth the drive.

This park is a great place to hike and commune with nature. The website speaks to waterfalls! The structure of course is in place but there is no water 🤨! However, it’s worth the visit!

Are you looking for a new hiking trail within an hour of St Louis? Then check out Pickle Springs Natural Area. This trail is filled with excitement including caves, waterfalls, elevation, and a lookout all under a two mile loop. Give yourself two hours to adventure, bring lots of water, and pack a lunch. This is one of the nicest trails in Missouri.

Happy T — Google review

Wow, Trail Through Time is one of the best hikes in the extended STL area! I went just after a rain and it was still very doable. Most of the trail surface is sand or rock rather than dirt, so you don’t have to worry about mud, just the occasional slippery rock. The hike is exactly 2 miles and was easy but very scenic. It could have done with some better marking, though. Several times, I reached an intersection and had to consult AllTrails to tell which way to go.

Pickle springs is a very interesting area with a 2 mile circular trail. Expect to see interesting rock formations, numerous intermittent creeks, a great overlook, a few small caves, and a beautiful trail. There are several trees along the trail that have blown over during this past year likely related to a few high wind storms in this region that have occurred.

Jim H — Google review

Great moderate hike. Trail is well marked and maintained.Lots of rocks and water. So gorgeous. So far my favorite trail in MO that I've been to.Free parking. No facilities on site.Only saw one trash can so make sure you pack out all your trash.

Catelin R — Google review

I have hiked here with family and friends. It is absolutely beautiful. Great place for kids to get out and enjoy nature, hike, climb and make memories!

Moderate hiking !Beautiful scenery !Make sure you bring lots of water in warmer months.Wear hiking boots or shoes with good gripped soles. We loved it here. The kiddos loved it also! Ages 7, 9, and 14.Do not recommend for children under 4 unless they have been hiking before.

Nicole B — Google review

This is a great place to see God's creation in all its beauty. So many different types of geographical wonders to see in only a 2 mile moderate trail. We had a great family hike and saw many kinds of rocks, trees, and so much more. I totally recommend going here for your hiking, fitness, or your love of viewing nature.

Danny S — Google review

Such a fun hike! If taking young children, be mindful that there are some cliffs, so close supervision is important. The views were amazing and the hike was the perfect length. The terrain is moderate with some inclines, some areas with rocky and uneven surfaces, roots and rocks in the trail. It was not anything that was unmanageable, even for children, but is noteworthy if you need a more accessible trail. Highly recommend!! The trail got busier later in the morning. It is best to start earlier (8-9am) if you want a quieter hike. We started at 10am and it was comfortable with a handful of interactions that increased closer to noon.

Anne G — Google review

The trail took us about 75 minutes to complete. The scenery is very nice, whether in a valley or on top of a bluff. Two issues with the trail: 1) the signage is very poor in places and you need to guess where to go next. Many areas of the trail are very rugged, steep, or covered with exposed roots. We recreational hike a lot in the Midwest, this trail is quite challenging for these reasons. Unfortunately there are many trees down due to a recent storm, and views of rock formations are blocked there. The roads to, and parking is very good . Plan extra time if not familiar with the trail.

Dennis P — Google review

Easy hiking trail with plenty of rocks for kids and adults to climb as well as small creeks and ponds to play in. The basic loop is about 2 miles with about 400 ft of elevation change. I went with two small children so it took us several hours, but it could easily be a quick jaunt for you or your pets.

Sean G — Google review

Awesome trail. Says it will take about a hour, we spent 4 hours exploring and climbing and still didn't experience all there was to see.

Steven L — Google review

a cool hidden gem of Missouri. Not too far from Hawn state park. I liked that state park but I like this more just because of the cool rock formations waterfalls, and the canyon walls. When i was excited while hiking through the area in anticipation of what I would come across. It truly is a geological wonder!

Drug store

Sights & Landmarks

Beauty supply store

Drugstore chain with health & beauty aids, prescriptions & photo services, plus mini-mart basics.

I just picked up pictures from online order. The Cape Girardeau Store seems dirty and cluttered.

Laura B — Google review

The pharmacy is most definitely not recommended the techs either rude or takes forever . My friends and I love Walgreens but the pharmacy is a headache. I notice new techs maybe they are seeking approval but as of today I will be switching from the pharmacy. I’ve tried with them but it seems the service is always a challenge at the window.

Lynette — Google review

A year ago I would have given them a five-star rating. And honestly, Walgreens pharmacy still has wonderful pharmacists, kind and courteous techs, and nice, helpful staff. However, I'm concerned about this store. I have been going here since 2015 and I have seen some significant changes like the shelves not being stocked and faced. I went today to pick up my prescriptions and I had a list of other items I wanted to buy. Some shelves were completely bare. I just wanted some Gas-X or the generic. None. Matter a fact, that entire section looked empty. Seriously, are you guys going out of business?

Teresa S — Google review

Made online order and didn't know how to go about it and my phone died. So I let it charge and went in the store to look if they had something. Went out to get my phone and a worker was standing at the door watching me and when I got out she told me she was trying to see if I was meeting somebody. Weird but got my online order. Very uncomfortable

Jessica S — Google review

It was one of the only places open on Christmas Eve. The young lady at the register was very friendly and upbeat. Found some good Christmas stuff on clearance for a good price.

Bev F — Google review

The pharmacy closes today at 5:00 pm, due to short stuff. It’s bad things to the customers. Because they customers are usually sick.

Olga R — Google review

Yvonne is awesome and a huge asset to Walgreens! Best experience I've had at this store in so long.

Jessica W — Google review

I am giving a 3 star rating simply because of the pharmacy's hours. It's hard enough to make to the pharmacy on time before they close. Walgreens went from being a 24-hour pharmacy to closing at 6pm on most nights, even now being CLOSED ON A SATURDAY!! I MEAN COME ON!! That is EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT!! 😩I always liked the fact that you all were at open at least until 8pm! At least in most other locations anyway, they still are.And by the way, y'all need to change your hours on Google! Because it still says your pharmacy is open 24-hours!! Obviously, that's not true! 🙄Other than the inconvenient hours, the staff IS ALWAYS very helpful, friendly, and professional. ❤️

Apryl P — Google review

I have always used Walgreens in the past, and I’ve had rather good experiences. However, This experience changed my perspective. While I do enjoy being able to call and check on the app whenever my prescription is ready, I have had a tough time getting my location for my main pharmacy changed, and every time I call the phone number, I am always redirected to another line. I was redirected for different times today. Then, I went into the store and nicely asked for my prescription to be refilled. The girl refill Duron’s prescription, which could’ve been my fault, but then she proceeded to tell me that I would have to go cut contact the other store for them to switch my prescription over. I told her I had called multiple times, and she said she would help me get someone to help me further. Then, She never showed back up and never requested for anybody to come help me. I am very disappointed in my services here.

Kaitlin C — Google review

Went in tonight to get my husband and my prescription before leaving town for a week. Pharmacy closed at 6 because of low staff. Now I have to go 5 days with my mess. Start paying a decent wage so you can hire reliable staff.

Carol O — Google review

Staff was absloutly unwilling to help me find an item. I knew it was in stock as the website says, they instead it was not and refused to help me look for it. I ordered it online for pick up and they magically found the product I was looking for. This is why I shop at CVS.

Corey S — Google review

I have always used Walgreens but will be changing. Mis managed most people work till 5 pm and they close at 6 and it shouldn’t take 4 hours to fill a prescription. Terrible customer service!!

Doug M — Google review

Went in for a heating pad and noticed the teeth whitening strips I use were on sale. The young man at the check out was very friendly to everyone. He went out of his way to help the lady in front of me find a very inexpensive item. Her total bill was only $2.38.He found the coupon I needed then asked if I wanted to apply a $10.00 credit from my Walgreen's card. Nice experience.

Great selection of wines to enjoy on a fabulous partially covered deck area. Views of forested hills, hay fields, and vineyards. Wonderfully bucolic. Right now we're catching a cross breeze in the shade. Relaxing and delightful. Bought a tasting sampler for $8 - five, one ounce pours from an extensive list. One of the better afternoons I've spent in a while. 🙂

Chuck C — Google review

This was my favorite winery on our tour hands down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The wine tasting is only $7 for 5 very generous pours and you get to keep your glass. There was live music outside on the veranda and a small deli to add to your wine tasting experience. Our server Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly, he definitely made our experience at Crown Valley fun.

Vikki R — Google review

I've never been treated so bad by a company. I booked an overnight room, and was charged immediately. I called 5 days ahead of my overnight stay, and confirmed we were good on my room. When I showed up to check in, they decided NOT to open that day, even though I already paid for my room. They did not bother to call or email me not to come. I had a three hour round trip drive, for nothing. When my husband called after the weekend to get some type of resolution/explanation, they had no explanation, and didn't care about the way we were treated.

Century Casino Cape Girardeau is a modern gambling establishment that offers over 900 slot machines, a variety of table games and five chic dining options. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing guidance to newcomers who may be unfamiliar with the gambling experience. Visitors can enjoy the exciting atmosphere and try their luck at winning big. It's worth giving it a shot as one never knows what fortune might bring.

First time there and I really enjoyed myself, spent 20 and came home with little over 200, probably first time luck! I haven’t been to a casino in years but it was a great time! I would recommend atleast trying your luck! You never know

Ann C — Google review

The hotel was very clean and modern! Our room had a great view of the river. The bed was super comfortable and big. The bathroom was huge! There was plenty of counter space and a big bright mirror in the bathroom. The room safe and mini fridge are always a nice touch in any hotel room. The casino the perfect size for how big cape is. Plenty of slots, a good handful of table games, and it seemed like the odds weren’t too bad. We were able to make a couple twenties last for over an hour, which isn’t bad in my eyes.

John B — Google review

The casino has changed ownership so much. They've stopped announcing jackpots, not thrilled over that. The promotions have been reduced drastically. I will say, the partnership they have with the local hotels are nice. Our stay at pear tree Inn was awesome !!!::

Video poker machines are very "tight".Hotel had very nice modern rooms.however just a cup.of coffee was hard to find...especially if you don't want espresso. Hotel needs to cater to their guests a little more and maybe offer continental breakfast...just a thought.

I'm not a gambler, but I wanted to try it out. I was not disappointed. When I stopped to get my card when I got there, the lady was very pleasant and walked me through everything pertinent when I told I had never gambled anywhere like this before. The young man at the bar was very helpful about showing me how to use the machines there at the bar. The whole place and experience was really cool. And it doesn't hurt that I came out ahead!

New to blackjack. Dealers were helpful. Miss Kayla was outstanding....She was very well versed in all the table games, was incredibly hospitable yet professional. She even advised us on how to play individual hands when asked. Incredibly charming....delightful person...the captain and I broke even, but left feeling like winners...Thank you Kayla...We'll be back!

Stayed in the new hotel while visiting Cape. Friendly staff and the hotel was very clean. The room was nice! Had a view of the river and bridge, which was pretty cool. The big bed and pillows were so comfy - I slept like a baby! There were lots of light fixture features in the room, which is a nice touch if you prefer different tones of light in your room, and little reading lamps. I really appreciated the full length mirror on the wall for viewing my outfits. There was plenty of counter space for setting out your things. Having a mini fridge and room safe if needed was nice. The bathroom was awesome - it was big and there were bright lights around the mirror - perfect for doing your makeup. And the bathroom towels were SO SOFT! Tempted to call and find out the towel brand. Shower water temp and pressure was good too. The casino was fun and convenient to be connected to the hotel downstairs. Played roulette and then won my money back and over on the penny slots! The hotel was also conveniently near downtown where we went to Ground-a-Bout coffee in the morning. But the hotel will be getting a Starbucks soon, which is going to be a huge added plus! My only two (minor) complaints is that I was not a fan of the bar shampoo, and the Nickelodeon channel didn't work so I couldn't watch Friends at night. Overall, I still give 5 stars and I would totally stay again!

Angela B — Google review

The only reason I am giving four stars is because a lot of the games were down when I came in. And only one ATM was working. Other than that, the other few times I’ve been in it was a lot of fun! The staff are always sweet. I came in for my birthday and everyone was happy!

Angel — Google review

Lots of slot machines with a good variety of games. You win some and lose some! Hopefully today’s donation will keep the lights on for a little while ;) short drive to cape from south East Missouri. Friendly staff. A new hotel is being built on site. Looks to be 6 stories high.

We very much enjoyed the Casino, and affordable place to eat. Had a great time playing the slots, staff was very friendly, very clean machines, and nice bathrooms! We went 2 nights because we had so much fun! They need more handicapped parking closer to the entrance however. We highly recommend going there! Next time we go we may stay at their hotel.

This was my second time dining at this restaurant. The first was hands down 5 stars all around. I was not impressed on my most recent visit. The wedge salad was mostly the worst part of the lettuce and not enough blue cheese dressing. The bacon was cold and burnt. Shrimp was good, but the sauce was so rich I couldn't finish it.

Rhonda S — Google review

5 Stars all around!Just recently moved to the area and had never been to a Casino before. Doing something for the first time can be intimidating, but Century made it a fun and exceptional experience. The slots are varied and enjoyable, but the table games are where this place shines. While the number is limited, the staff are the highlight. Austin and Janice were very polite and patient with me. They helped me figure out 3 card Poker enough that I played a few hands and walked out with some money. I will definitely be back.An extra shout out to the ladies at the Winner's Circle as well. They do a great job explaining the rewards program and answering any questions you may have. If you are ever in Cape Girardeau and want to have a good time, definitely check out Century Casino. You will not be disappointed.

The center offers a walking tour video and area brochures, providing valuable information for visitors. Additionally, it houses the Roscoe Misselhorn Gallery, showcasing original sketches of Ste. Small as far as national park visitor centers go, but the on-site ranger was very friendly and the large diorama of the town as it appeared in the past was neat to look at.

Nice little welcome center in the historic district of Ste Gen. The staff were very nice and informative. Kind of a small museum mixed with a tourism board. You can purchase a historic site passport here that will get you in to 6 of the the local sites. Includes 5 houses and the city museum. Cost is $15 a person, but if you don't purchase it, you pay individually at each place. If you are a walker, all sites are walkable.

Scenic spot with an extensive Pleistocene-age fossil deposit, plus trails, picnic sites & a museum.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I love this park. Lots of good historical information in the visitors center. Beautiful trails/small creek that runs through.

Therese R — Google review

I was very disappointed with the entire place. The front was being renovated. They told use to use the back door which my son couldn’t use with his wheelchair. He would have had to go over a curb, then go down a steep hill that is way too dangerous for an electric wheelchair. I think they are looking for a lawsuit. They really need to read up on ADA building standards. The “museum” has only two display areas and none of the exhibits are real. $12 was too much for what little I got. We were in and out in under 5 minutes.

Susan W — Google review

Found this gem through Google just driving through the area and we had to make a trip! It was definitely worth it. Just a warning, they mention a trail that's behind the main building but it is very confusing and not worth the walk. There's a little creek nearby that runs very low & it's a great place to bring your kids to play!

Taylor F — Google review

The Mastodon State Historic Site outside of Imperial, Missouri is a real gem in the Midwest. It's amazing to realize just 10,000 years ago mastodons were roaming Missouri eating the greenery from trees. Outside of the COVID-19 pandemic you can touch a real mastodon tooth and see real bones; this is a real treat for anyone but especially children. In addition, the movie teaches a great deal and is shown on the half hour. I highly recommend a visit and the entrance fee is very reasonable.

Bryan R — Google review

Great place to spend hot summer days. The creek is fantastic for all ages. Water shoes are a plus. Clean and well maintained. We have not visited the museum/visitors center in a couple years, but my kids still remember our last visit there. We did see quite a few copperhead snakes on 95° degree day, but they were keeping cool under foliage. Just something to be mindful of. Pack a lunch and spend the day.

Julia G — Google review

As an archaeologist, I can tell you the museum is a bit dated and could use some updated information panels. The worst being the small video that they play that looks like it is from 1998. However, it does give a good representation of the excavations as well as having life-sized replicas of the megafuana that inhabited this area. It's awe-inspiring for many kids, and I remember seeing this place as a kid and being awestruck by the size of a mastodon and ground sloth. The hiking trail is also very pleasant and takes you close to where the archaeological excavations took place. Worth a summer trip with the kids.

Visiting St. Lou from out of town and spent the day here, from about 10a-3p, and an employee called the cops on me! I guess to investigate why I was there so long.If the employee who did that is reading this, I was there so long because it was a nice park, up until that point. This park should be a safe place for anyone to spend any amount of time in, dawn to dusk.

I will say there is some construction as of now happening on the road by some trails (so beware of work site noises) but……I Had a wonderful hike here today! Mastodon State Park is a hidden treasure in Imperial, MO. I first visited here when I was a kid and had no idea where this spot was, but my mother-in-law brought us two falls ago and I'm so glad she did! There's several short, well-maintained trails throughout the park. When I visited a week into November, the path was mostly cleared of leaves. There was a cute kids story about spiders on markers along one of the paths that read like a children's book.A pavilion, playground, and pit toilets are available on site. We enjoyed a picnic lunch under the pavilion, but had the choice to sit at picnic tables closer to the playground. My dog loves the creek running through the park and it provides extra pretty views set against the fall leaves and moss-covered rock. We met a man on the trail who grew up near the park and he led us to a spot that produces lots of mushrooms. We passed through a camping area that no one in our group knew existed. This would be a lovely weekend getaway, and very remote as there was no one else around.

Kelsey S — Google review

This stroller-friendly small state park had a good little river with about a feet or so of fresh water, and pebbles that you can walk on. It has a small trail that you can finish within 30 min. Kids can enjoy at a play area next to parking lot. Overall a good place to drop by for an evening whenever you feel like

Punit — Google review

Staff were kind, bones are neat but the museum is very small. Didn't make it to the trails but I'm sure they're nice. There were lots of people hiking them.

Very nice place to spend a couple hours learning. Went for their archeology day so there was an outdoor display of artifacts and furs, which was cool and free entry to museum. Museum was pretty neat and had a small movie to introduce the location and learn about the mastodon. Nice little hiking trail too. Overall, it was fun and glad we came. More of a visit once kind of place, but I'd definitely come back with kids in the future.

Visitors can enjoy walking trails and have a picnic while communing with nature. There is an impressive lookout point at the start of the drive, which provides fantastic views. Entrance into the park requires only a donation, making it accessible to everyone who loves nature and outdoor activities.

Lone elk is very cool. Our family has been only 3 times now but it's been a few great experiences. You can walk trails get to see the bison, elk, deer and they even have a bird sanctuary. Although I haven't been to see the birds. There is a pretty cool lookout at the beginning of the drive. We went on a trail our last time there and got to see some bison up close. Not too close... just a great place to go and see nature and have a nice picnic.Oh we also found a dog statue I believe was a good cache. We wasn't doing the geo caches but we spotted the dog.. apologies for the camera focus.

A beautiful free to enter park where you can picnic amongst the wildlife. The 546 acre park has geese, elk, waterfowl, turkeys, and white-tailed deer that room freely. In a fenced off area, there are bison which can be seen by driving through the area. The park is named in honor of one elk who walked the grounds decades ago. Well worth the visit!

The grasslands, the wooded areas and the beautiful animals roaming around. The bison, the elk, deer, birds and other local wild life just living their little lives. This is a perfect park to just have your windows down, no music and to just enjoy nature. I often like to sit down and watch what the animals are doing for hours on end watching them graze and live life just as we do. This is a perfect place to take your family and boy do the animals get close so be careful!

Lone Elk Park is a gem in the St. Louis area. This park is over 500 acres and is is filled with wildlife. You can see elk, deer, bison, wild turkeys and other birds. It is also free to enter. (There is a donation box if you wish to give to the park.)What makes it great is the options you have to see the wildlife. You can drive through the park or utilize the hiking trails. You can even fish there, but you need to make a reservation ahead of time. There are also shelters that you can reserve. If you drive, be sure to take your time. (There are also spots where you can pull over, get out of your vehicle and let others pass.) It can be hit or miss on what wildlife you see. They say morning - before 8:00 am - is the best time to see the animals, because they feed the animals first thing in the morning. However, on this trip, we went through around 11:00 am and saw elk, deer, bison and waterfowl. They were even close to the road and easy to view. (See pictures.)Tip: You don't need all day at the park. You can drive the park in a relatively short amount of time if you wish. (20-30 minutes.) It is also close to the interstate.Things to know:- No motorcycles- No pets, even if they are confined to the vehicle.- Review their website for additional informationSo, if you live in the area or are just passing through, be sure to make time to swing by Lone Elk Park. You won't be disappointed!

AMAZING!!!!!! FROM the hiking trail to the evening hours when all the deer, elk, bison were near the road...just a breathtaking experience!!! Park well kept, and marked, correctly at each point, absolutely worth the drive from any distance!!

Lone Elk Park is a beautiful place to hike or just drive your car through to see the Bison or the elk they have picnic table to eat or just to enjoy a beautiful day . If you like hiking it's worth doing the white Bison trail you will definitely see a elk hiking and can take a picture if you want to .the trail is a 5 or 6 miles but worth it or worth the drive depending where you live .you can see the bison on your way out normally they seem to like to sit down from the hiking trail .

Free for the public! Saw lots of elk, but no bison. Not sure where they were hiding but still had fun. It’s nice to drive through and isn’t too far away! There’s a donation box which is nice because they don’t charge. Large pond which you can make reservations to fish in.

The animals were abundant on this beautiful day in September. Some days I do not get to see this many. This is a great place for all ages. Lone Elk reminds me of my great grandmother and uncle who brought me along for the rides when I was young.

Absolutely beautiful place. Hidden gem in the St. Louis, MO trip. We had to kill a whole afternoon and evening before our flight out. This was a stress free ride through, seeing elks, bisons, friendly raccoons acting cute (don't fall for it) as you drive by. We took the loop twice. Nature's beauty at it's best.

Alwin M — Google review

What a gem. If you are a nature or animal lover, this park is incredible. You can drive through the park and see elk and bison, possibly up close. When I was driving through the park there were about 10 elk swimming in the lake, a young bull elk stopping cars by walking in the middle of the road, a small pack of bison were in a pasture about 50 yards from the road, a mother raccoon was leading her 3 baby raccoons safely across the road and there were 3 massive bull elk relaxing along Elk Hollow Road.

John K — Google review

This was my first visit to the park, and I enjoyed it very much. The Elk were definitely out and literally right next to the car! Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any Bison, even though we drove thru the area at least five times trying to spot some. We saw a family of raccoons and a herd of Elk cooling off in the lake on the property.

Heard about this from one of my friends, I had no clue it existed so close to the city. Went here multiple times and it was nice to see the wild animals up close but somewhat safe in your car. Sometimes we did go a bit early, pay attention to the opening hours as we had to wait a bit. Overall amazing driving path and nice to see to get away from the busy city.

Josh B — Google review

We always love going here to see the animals! We love to donate to help with the services provided by the park. There are pavilions, hiking trails and bbq pits. Tons of elk, bison and deer! Best part is the park is very well kept up as far as trash and roads.

George H — Google review

Visited an amazing park where we saw elk, deer, geese, and even bison—all from the comfort of our car! It was an unforgettable wildlife viewing experience, and we didn't even have to step out of our vehicle. Nature's wonders at their finest!

Paul H — Google review

My favourite place during fall!!!It it one of the most beautiful place in St louis if u wanna experience the beauties of nature and walk with elks.It would be a good idea to take some snacks and go around sunset. You can see the lake and the trees in the golden hour. We had a binoculars which was very handy.

Awesome drive while passing through the St Louis area, some of the roads & hills were a challenge for my pickup truck with a pop-up truck camper & 7X14 enclosed trailer but I managed. I look forward to returning another time & spending more time there.

Perry M — Google review

The place is amazing…It’s very beautiful to see Bisons, elks and lots of deer roaming freely around. It’s free of charge and must say it’s one of the hidden gem near St. Louis. The overall vibe of the park is very good.

Bhavik N — Google review

Beautiful park with nice hiking trails. The park is well maintained and the animals are always fun to see! However, the visitors maybe need even larger “stay in your vehicle” or “do not approach animals” signs. (Sarcasm of course!)Every time we visit, some dumb dumb is within charging distance of the animals.. like these two ladies literally within 10ft of the bison today.. they may look docile but can kill you. Don’t be stupid.

Ashley M — Google review

Fun little park not too far from St Louis. You ll get to see Elks, Bison, Turkey and other wildlife. White Bison trail is an awesome trail to see the park and see wildlife up close!

Naresh K — Google review

Looking for a budget-friendly getaway? Explore Lone Elk Park – it operates on donations and offers a scenic drive-through experience. Encounter bison, elk, and raccoons freely roaming throughout the park. A gentle reminder: refrain from feeding the animals.

Nicole B — Google review

Lone Elk Park is just west of St Louis and a pretty neat place to drive or walk through. Get close to bison and elk in your car, or get out and walk along the paths that get you even closer! There are places to picnic and spend time with a small group.

Brian H — Google review

Nice place to get out of the city for a few minutes. Would like to come back when it's a little warmer but enjoyed seeing the elk and bison. Smaller than what I thought it was but still nice.Bathrooms were down for maintenance, but porta johns were in place if needed.

Botanical garden

Sights & Landmarks

The Missouri Botanical Garden is a beautiful botanical garden located in St. Louis, Missouri. It contains a wide variety of plants and flowers, as well as a number of greenhouses and gardens. The gardens are open to the public during the daylight hours, and it is a popular tourist destination.

Went here with my girlfriend the weekend before Christmas. It was a cold, but magical night. The lights and displays were wonderful with a great atmosphere. Taking our time it took us about 2hrs to walk through everything. We had hot chocolate and s'mores by one of the fire pits. If they do it again next year we'll be there!

Seth O — Google review

A really nice family friendly garden. Current under renovations to welcome center area, looks like a big project that will be amazing when completed. We came on Juneteenth for a free day at the gardens. They often have gardening workshops and the kids area of the gardens is amazing! Tons of fun things to play on, a slash pad, and more! Would come back just for the kids area!

Quincy B — Google review

Went to Glow lights. Was really nice, cold but nice. Only down fall was they take no cash at all. Only Credit/debit cards. They have a machine you can put cash in and it gives a pay card to use. So if you put $30 you have to use it all there. So unfortunately we were unable to buy hot chocolate, s'mores or any other items they sold. An advance notice on website or even at the door would have been nice. We'd definitely go again. The kids gad lots of fun.

I first visit back in the late summer during a blown glass exhibit; Chihuly items in every corner that were wildly complex and beautiful. I spent almost 7 hours on the grounds and met a very kind guide in one of the out buildings. We talked for an hour and he made me feel at home, educated me on some of the ceiling murals and told me where else to look for great exhibits. The gardens and all the butterflies and wildlife brought me a lot of warm, happy memories. Now that it’s right in my backyard, I’ll get a season pass for 2024. I can’t wait to spend more slow afternoons here.

Beautiful gardens with guided tram tours, plenty of walking space on paved paths, lots of plant variety and climates all present. Was very busy but there were still pockets of tranquility and peacefulness scattered throughout to explore and discover. Small Cafe and restaurant right on the grounds. Several rare and endangered plant species are kept and nurtured there. Well worth the trip and easily 2~4 hours well spent in the sun and greenery.

Leslie and Mark are fantastic hosts. We had a lovely time, the entire mansion is gorgeous! Our bed was comfy and the room was cozy. In the morning, we had a nice meal of poached pear with a breakfast enchilada and mango juice, yum! Lily the puppy added a special touch to our visit. We will be back.

We went to the Garden Glow last Wednesday, and the Garden looks great! The new lobby and front steps blew me away with how amazing they looked. Everything looks so open and modern! I am a big fan of Glow, and of the garden in general. I love how it's set up, and the sense of peace and calm I get from being among all the flora. The new gift shop looks awesome, and I really like all the learning opportunities presented to guests throughout the garden. This is a St. Louis gem that we are so lucky to have!

This is an awesome botanical garden. It’s very large and there is lots to see and do. We spent a couple hours there and didn’t cover as much as I would have hoped. I would definitely want to come back if I had the opportunity to. There are lots of different garden themes, ponds, and exhibits. It’s really beautiful and well taken care of. It’s perfect for plant and nature lovers! The Japanese festival aspect was really cool as well. There were some fun food options and a lot of people dressed up for it. It was fun to see a celebration of Japanese culture at the gardens.Because we went during the Japanese festival, it costed a little more- about $16 a person (special discounts didn’t apply during this particular weekend). It’s usually $14 a person though. We waited just a few minutes to get in because we bought tickets in advance. I would recommend buying ahead if its a busier time or a festival is taking place. I have heard weekdays and mornings are not quite so busy.

Brooke S — Google review

Can't wait to come back in late spring when more is in bloom. The gardens are massive, you could spend all day enjoying and exploring. Beautiful well kept grounds take you on a journey. It was a peaceful way to get my steps in and soak up some fall sunshine all while enjoying beautiful surroundings and seeing all types of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees from around the world.

CHERYL B — Google review

Looked like a really beautiful place. I guess we shouldn't have been, but we were surprised there was an entrance fee. We were hoping to just wander around for a little while. We did check out the gift shop and there were many cute items. Parking was easy and that was free. If we are in town again maybe we can plan to spend more time there and the fee would be worth it.

Amy B — Google review

Went to view their lights. Very impressive and well organized for the amount of people who are visiting. The parking lots fill up and while it may be intimidating to find street parking, I did get pretty lucky. Can’t say that the experience will be shared by others, but don’t feel overwhelmed! It’s a one way trail to enjoy the lights, so be sure to enjoy everything as you come across!

John G — Google review

Wow. This was the most beautiful and wonder inspiring botanical garden I’ve ever been to. The layout of the gardens draws you in and surprises you around each corner. There are a nice mix of paved pathways and rock or mulched footpaths that lead to secret corners of the garden. Plants are all very well maintained and there’s an amazing diversity of ecosystems represented. There are many places for kids (or adults) to cool off in water features and fountains and a large play area for kids.

The Japanese garden was absolutely beautiful and bloom. The climatron was very clean and and lots of room to move around. It's still early in the year so not a lot of things were blooming yet. The magnolia trees were very fragrant. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Definitely going back later on in the year when more things are in bloom.

Kimberly M — Google review

This is just a review of the Garden Glow for the Holidays. It's open until 10pm, so the later you go, the less crowds. When we were leaving at 8:30, it was considerably thinning out. Lots of very cool light displays. Very organized as you are directed along a route. The regular garden displays are not open. Only a portion of the garden is lit up.Nice photo opportunities set up along the way. It's a little expensive but worth the money at least once. Also a great way to get some fresh outdoor air at this time of year.

The Missouri Botanical Garden is truly one of the most spectacular gardens you can visit anywhere and one of the top places to go in St. Louis.Whether they've got an exhibit going or it's just the "normal" experience you're sure to have a fantastic time in this picturesque location. The photos in this review are from the 2023 Chihuly Exhibit. There are plenty of restrooms scattered about the Garden, as well as many benches if you need a rest or would just like to sit and contemplate your surroundings.I would recommend setting aside at least 2-3 hours for a visit, more if you want to see everything at a leisurely pace.

Sydney C — Google review

The Missouri Botanical Gardens is like an oasis in the middle of bustling St. Louis City. Though it is a ticketed entry ($14/adult for non-STL residents), it is worth every penny (especially when you're saving on all of the free things to do around the city). We took our teenager at the end of summer, who is big into science and biology. She left saying that she was only familiar with maybe 10% of what she saw before visiting the gardens. There is a wide variety of plant life all throughout. The gardens and walkways are meticulously manicured, all amenities sparkling clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and the giftshop well stocked and making you want to spend more and support the gardens. I LOVE that there are multiple spots throughout the garden where you can purchase small plants. 🪴 There are resources for the seasoned gardener as well as beginners and students.Love the various sections of the gardens and how well marked they are. There are free days to visit and a summer-concert series, as well as various special ticketed events. I hope to become a member in the future when I have more time to visit. The membership is affordable and will keep you coming back again and again to enjoy the natural beauty.

Kelsey S — Google review

Very impressed. It's huge with a wide variety of theme areas. We didn't have kids with us, so I didn't do more than a quick visit to the children's garden. It looked like a lot of fun. There were other areas that appealed to kids & allowed them to play. Great value!

Note: If you are Missouri residents tickets would be half of the price. Bring your proof with youIt was a beautiful space and everyone was so helpful in the lobby area. This garden is an absolute must-visit, offering a serene and picturesque oasis right in the heart of the city. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom during my visit, creating a breathtaking display of delicate pink petals against the clear blue sky. It was the perfect backdrop for leisurely strolls and memorable photo opportunities. The garden's layout is thoughtfully designed, with well-maintained paths that meander through a diverse range of flora and themed areas.

Vipila B — Google review

It's so big and a lot of trails to explore. There are a lot of different areas or "regions" to see. We went late fall so a lot of the water fountains were off or not running, and the colors were not as bright on the plants but still a go walk. The climatron was gorgeous inside and so much to look at. I would do that again and again. Tickets are reasonable, and parking is free. Wish they had better food options. Very limited, so we thankfully brought something to drink and snack on for ourselves.

I recently visited the Missouri Botanical Garden during their Garden Glow event and it was a truly magical experience. The moment I stepped into the garden, I was transported into a world of enchantment and beauty. The Garden Glow event is an incredible display of thousands of twinkling lights that illuminate the garden in the most spectacular way. Every corner is adorned with colorful lights, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that left me in awe. The attention to detail in the light installations is truly remarkable and it's clear that a lot of effort was put into creating this magical ambiance.Walking through the garden, I was greeted by a variety of themed displays that were both whimsical and breathtaking. From the dazzling light tunnels that led me to different parts of the garden, to the sparkling light sculptures that depicted various animals and plants, every turn was a delightful surprise. The garden truly comes alive at night during this event, creating a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.Aside from the enchanting lights, the Missouri Botanical Garden also offers various activities and entertainment during the Garden Glow event. From live music performances to fire pits where you can cozy up and enjoy a warm drink, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The festive atmosphere and lively energy added an extra layer of joy to the overall experience.Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Missouri Botanical Garden during their Garden Glow event. It's a truly magical experience that will leave you with lasting memories. The combination of the stunning light displays, festive activities, and warm atmosphere make it a must-see attraction during the holiday season.

Perfect Sunday in April to visit. Sunny and mid 60s. I brought my camera and had a blast walking around taking pictures. This place is big. A lot of plants and flowers aren’t bloomed yet but it’s still pretty. The gift shop is large and prices aren’t terrible. Good location for the garden, lots of parking! Definitely come back in the summer 🌺🌸💐🪴🪺☘️🌲🌼

I totally adored the Missouri Botanical Garden! It's like a hidden gem in the heart of Saint Louis. The vibe there is so chill, and everything is just perfectly kept. Plus, parking's easy, and the entry fees won't break the bank. The staff? Super friendly and welcoming. They even have cool volunteer gigs if you're into that. I snapped some pics in March, but can't wait for spring when everything's in full bloom. Seriously, go check it out!

What a beautiful botanical gardens right in the middle of a charming neighborhood. I think they said it was 76 acres. It was a perfect day to go. Mid-60's and sunny in March. I was surprised how many plants and trees were already in full bloom outside. They also have some great indoor areas. The glass dome was full of gorgeous plants and trees, with waterfalls and flowing water throughout. I loved the Japanese garden areas so much. So beautiful and relaxing. There were little pools with great statues around the grounds. I saw that there was a restaurant with cute outdoor seating, but we didn't eat there. Great store with so many fantastic and unique items/gifts. There were lots of people, but at most times, we didn't feel like it was too crowded. We enjoyed our visit.

Barb S — Google review

Visiting St. Louis and this is listed as one of the top places to visit/do. This was really disappointing. I have visited several Botanical gardens this time of year in several different states and this is the only one charging full price when mostly everything here outside is dead except a few tulips and daffodils...I rated this botanical gardens a 2 out of 5 because I really enjoyed the dome. Other than that.. save your money and wait until May or so to see when everything blooms.

Alethea S — Google review

Beautiful garden and VERY large! You could easily spend 2-4 hours here. We really loved this place, but for my husband, kid, and I, it was $48. My brother is local and it was free for him and his kid. $48 felt steep for an hour walk and a teenager that was only there because had to be. Teens should be $6 with a paying adult like the locals later in the day, if not free like the 12 and unders.

So beautiful!! I went during Cherry Blossom season while on spring break and I absolutely adored it! I loved the Japanese Garden once again, and all the beautiful flowers in bloom. No wait, just scanned membership card and went right in!

It's spectacular. There is not much more to say. It's reasonably priced for admission. It's beautiful, the views from the random spots you can sit along the way around a particular area are all great. If you use the train, the drivers are all great and super knowledgeable about the flora. The glass artist that was on display had some stunning work.

Even before spring properly started, the gardens were lovely. The indoor areas were stunning, and I can imagine how beautiful the grounds will be once the plants come in. It's a huge place as well! Easily could spend hours there.

Beautiful place for photos. I took my mom for mother's day. She enjoyed it. If you're a St.Louis resident, you get a discount at only $6 per person. I was surprised that they had a vegetable section.

Restaurant: zero starsGardens: five StarsWe waited over an hour for 1/2 of a grilled cheese and chips (it arrived stone cold and was inedible for $14) and the egg and ham sandwich (which arrived missing ingredients and since it is order and then get your food brought to you service there was no way to get this fixed since the girl of the ordering counter absolutely did not care at all about doing any sort of job). I did not want the sandwich, but ordered it because they were out of what was actually good on the menu. So be prepared for that as well. The gardens themselves were wonderful and I desperately wish we had simply skipped the cafe so that we could truly enjoy them instead of having our time eaten into with very bad food that was highly overpriced and ridiculously long awaited.

Catholic cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis is a towering historical building with intricate mosaics that took over 80 years to complete. The cathedral is a popular destination for guided tours, and it also offers self-guided tours that are open any time except during Mass or special events.

An absolutely stunning cathedral. The main chapel was closed for remodeling, so my wife was able to attend Mass beneath the cathedral in St Cecelia's Chapel, at the end of a limestone corridor. The parishioner who showed us how to get down there said it was "in the belly of the Earth," and it definitely had that feel.

Mike O — Google review

This is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever visited, particularly in the United States. I rank it much above St. Patrick’s in NYC. The mosaics are breathtaking, containing over 41 million pieces of glass that were installed over 76 years by generations of the same family. I cannot recommend a visit to this great Catholic church highly enough, especially if you love art and architecture.

Scotty H — Google review

Religious or not, everyone should visit here at least once. It is stunning. It takes your breath away when you step inside. It feels like you're stepping into a Cathedral Basilica in Italy.

Andrew H — Google review

We hopped on a basic trolley tour of St. Louis, and boy were we delighted that this was a stop along the way (the only stop where we deboarded). Over 40 million mosaic tiles painstakingly installed over 40 years - I think that my mouth was open the entire time. It's best to visit outside of the worship schedule so that you can tour the entire interior.

Ted W — Google review

Unquestionably the most gorgeous church I've set foot in. I was fortunate enough to attend Easter Sunday mass. The church was full to the brim with fellow worshippers. The magnificent beautiful shone through like sunlight through a stained glass window. The walls are adorned with several biblical scenes that are famous and well represented. The priest was full of the holy spirit and his homily was amazing. If you're passing through the area on the weekend, your Sunday obligation should be spent here.

I get to travel all around the United States and visit some beautiful places. This church is one of the most beautiful churches I've seen in my life. I wouldn't expect this to be in the US if I saw it in pictures. The mosaic work is amazing, the construction is superb.

Absolutely breathtaking. It is the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen in my life. It should be the No.1 place to visit in St. Louis. Its beauty and magnificence are truly unforgettable. Awesome Christian Catholic Church! Very beautiful Church! Amazing Music! Without doubt this Church is absolutely worth the visit because it will be a great opportunity and adventure. Have a great day, know God loves you, and know when you learn true devotion to Jesus Our Savior he helps you become your happiest and most heroic version of yourself!

Absolutely stunning architectural masterpiece in St. Louis! To find this unbelievably European craftsmanship in St. Louis was really not on my list of expectations. This has to be one of the most beautiful churches in the nation, potentially worth noting on the global scale. With architecture this beautiful, it’s hard not to feel a sense of divinity in the room. Had me questioning my atheism (ok, not really, but you know what I mean).Truly stunning marvel that St. Louis is beyond lucky to have in the city!

Arin S — Google review

A massive and impressive cathedral that combines both Eastern and Western European architectural styles. As impressive as the exterior is, the interior is on a whole other level. Just seeing pictures of the interior was enough for me to want to visit. I wasn't aware though that the designs and artwork on the walls/ceilings were mosaics and not paintings. That made it all the more impressive just thinking of all the effort it took to finish it. There are free tours that occur throughout the day and we were fortunate enough to catch one. This is recommended as you are able to go to a few places that are inaccesible if not on the tour. There is also a small museum in the basem*nt.

Patrick V — Google review

This is one of the most beautiful cathedral we've seen around the world. It has the most beautiful mosaic that rivals those in France and UK. In fact it's the largest collection of mosaic in the world. Building the church took 7 years, but the mosaic work took 76 years. If you visit St. Louis, this is a site that you should not miss. It's literally jaw-dropping. Amazing!

Michael P — Google review

I was finally able to visit the Cathedral Basilica and do the tour. It was so beautiful. The mosaics are truly stunning. I saw some beautiful churches in the UK but none rival the sheer beauty here.

The art and grandeur was breath taking. I found such calm and peace while there which was much needed in my life right now. Even if you are not Catholic or Christian I would recommend making a stop to admire the beauty.

A must-visit. Absolutely amazing interior. There is so much to see here. Make sure to visit the various chapels and take the time after a mass to go to the front of the sanctuary and look toward the rear. I was especially struck by the vivid blue and red windows at the opposing ends of the building.

Absolutely incredible/beautiful church. While I am not overly religious, I was in all of his beauty. Very clean and highly polished marble large wooden pews, huge vaulted ceilings, filled with gorgeous mosaics. They have on display the chair that the pope sat in on a visit. As well as a rare 14th century choir book on display. Regardless of your religious affiliations if you have the chance to stop by and see this basilica, it is well worth your time.

Go down to the museum downstairs, very cool!A massive and impressive cathedral that combines both Eastern and Western European architectural styles. As impressive as the exterior is, the interior is on a whole other level. It might not be so ancient as the European churches. However, the number of mosaic pieces is incredible. The work that was done 100 years old is unbelievably gorgeous...You feel like you are a part of this huge masterpiece.Over 40 million mosaic tiles painstakingly installed over 40 years - I think that my mouth was open the entire time. This is such a beautiful cathedral. What art and beauty within a building. The millions of of tiles. Just breath taking. It is well worth the stop. Peaceful and thought provoking. The priest there was very kind and welcoming.

The real experience of viewing this majestic piece of architecture is difficult to portray in words or photography. If you want to feel it, you have to be inside this cathedral. This basilica is dedicated to St. Louis. the historical figure that gave the city of St. Louis its name - and it lives up to its reputation. The central dome and the mosaic art on the ceiling, walls, and pillars are just astounding. The grandeur of this landmark building is something not to be missed.

Took a guided tour, so glad we did. Our guide pointed out features we would never have noticed on our own.The Basilica is stunning & must be seen to fully appreciate.Free tours, but check days and times in advance. They are scheduled at specific times to avoid Mass.Make sure to visit the basem*nt to see photos taken during construction.

One of the most beautiful churches in America . It's absolutely amazing to visiting walk through this holy church. Be respectful of the church goers. Free tours are availableCheck the website to get times .

I have been to many basilicas in the country, and the cathedral basilica of St. Louis is my favorite. Besides its religious significance, the architecture itself is a piece of art. I spent a good hour appreciating the interior and all.The skull of saint jean de brebeuf was available for people to pay respect and pray over on 2/25/2024. There was a short wait of about 15-20 minutes, and it was very well worth it.Highly recommend for believers and non-believers to visit!

Beautiful Cathedral. We took a guided tour thru the main part of the church, then thru the back of the altar where the organist sits and the priest comes from during services. There are 4 smaller chappels at each corner of the main church. They were each equally beautiful and unique. One of the chapels was named "Blessed Sacrament Chapel" (which I was not supposed to photograph, but I didn't realize that till after I saw the sign, too late, I'm fast with the camera, slow to read signs). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the lengthy history of the church and the beautifully built interior. The architecture of the interior is mostly Byzantine, as well as Romanesque. The walls, ceilings, domes were covered with gold mosaic tile...it was truly a beautiful church. The church is open for anyone to visit and tour on your own but you don't get to experience the whole church. Call ahead to schedule a tour.

It might not be so ancient as the European churches. However, the number of mosaic pieces is incredible. The work that was done 100 years old is unbelievably gorgeous...You feel like you are a part of this huge masterpiece. Just emotions. ❤️❤️❤️

This place IS BEAUTIFUL, beautiful 😍...BUT unfortunately it's ALL FAKE HISTORY.How disappointing it is to have such timeless art/lies decor in a place that's supposed to be Honored & Honorable, but filled with deception, false history & whitewashed lies & figures of the MOST important Spiritual figures in Space/Time. Stadium

Busch Stadium is one of the most beautiful and historic ballparks in America and is home to the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the best baseball teams in the world. The stadium offers great views of downtown St. Louis as well as the iconic Gateway Arch.

My brother and I decided about 10 days ago to get tickets for the Cards/Royals series. We purchased Champions Club seats to take advantage of the all inclusive tickets. We could not have asked for a better time! Getting there was easy to find, when we got in we were directed to where everything was. We found seats to eat at prior to the Game. Joyce came and waited on us. She was GREAT! When We we’re head to our seats, Brian filled us in on all the info we needed about the club and how it works! He could not have been nicer. When we got to our seats, Melissa took care of us all night. She was INCREDIBLE! She had a full plate and handled it with the utmost ease and Grace. She definitely made the experience even better! Thanks so much!

One of the most beautiful stadiums in baseball! Love the red brick & black wrought iron retro look. Cardinal fans are some of the best in baseball. Electric atmosphere. Rich history. You won't be disappointed! 5 out 5 stars!

James H — Google review

Took a tour of one of the most beautiful stadiums I've ever been to. Our tour guide gave us some great historical facts. Even though the Cardinals aren't my team, I gained a new perspective of the city and their team (11 championships). At almost 20 years old, the stadium still looks brand new. The grounds keepers keep the grass and dirt looking perfectly amazing. Seeing the Gateway Arch in the background is even more awe inspiring. The tour allows you to actually sit in the dugout and see what it's like being so close to the field itself. Take the tour. You won't be disappointed. In addition, walking on the street, you are so close to the excitement of the game. It's as if the restaurants and streets are inside the stadium, even though they're right outside. It is the only stadium I've seen that incorporates and envelops the outside streets at the same level. Fun place to visit. Can't wait to actually see a game there.

Beautiful stadium! Hey there early to walk around and explore. Take the time to make the long walk to the top to get the iconic view of the arch.Note: Empty water bottles are allowed so that you can refill water for free and also create less waste for the landfills!

We went to the cardinals game in tribute as a farewell goodbye to my great grandmother that passed away. Although we didn’t really watch the game we had an amazing time and great experience. We did the walk through cardinals museum and then had lunch at ballpark village. We also did the build a bear at Busch stadium and that was so fun!! We loved it! Just wish we didn’t live 13 hours away..

Kristian L — Google review

Great ballpark. Lots of fun food options. The plaza area outside the park is a plus since the location doesn't allow for any tailgating like in KC or Milwaukee. If you like baseball history there are many statues of Cardinal greats outside the stadium worth getting here a bit early to check out. I purchased the cheapest ticket option and it was perfect... One of those stadiums that just doesn't have a bad seat.

Great place for a look around. All the staff that we conversed with were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful! The place looks immaculately looked after, and there’s a ton of things to do around here. Didn’t manage to catch the came as we were headed to Springfield, but I’d have loved to have stayed and watched the Cardinals!

TripWithRich — Google review

Top-5 stadium in baseball to catch a game. It truly is baseball heaven as you take in the smells and ambiance of the park and of course St. Louis Cardinals baseball. The view of the Gateway Arch is immaculate. However, be aware of the Gestapo patrolling the entry gates. Some Cardinals ushers take their job a little too seriously, so make sure you read what is and isn't allowed in the stadium before you have to make a jaunt back to your car. Lots of reasonable parking lots around the radius of the stadium. The concession stands and souvenir shops are second to none. If you arrive early their is plenty to do in and around the stadium (Ballpark Village and Jefferson Expansion National Park). Put Busch Stadium on your bucket list, it's a good one.

Went to my first ever MLB game back on May 28th against the Brewers. I bought box seats for the 5 of us and we all had a great time. I would definitely go back. Just a fun, laid back experience.I had to go to the upper section to get the pictures of the field with the Gateway Arch in the background, just an awesome backdrop of the skyline. Next time I want to go to a night game.

Been to 5 ballparks and this one was amazing. Staff awesome. Lots of food places and restrooms. Escalator to the cheap seats. Really cool spot. The views are amazing. Would have 5 stars if they would have a Mark McGuire statue!! Honor the Big Mac and get over it!!

What an incredible visit we had to Busch Stadium! As a lifelong baseball fan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop by on our way to Kentucky, and boy, am I glad we did!St. Louis is known for having some of the most passionate baseball fans in the country. The rich history of the team adds an extra layer of excitement to the whole experience.Let me tell you, the stadium and weather on that particular day were nothing short of perfect! The setting was simply breathtaking, and I couldn't help but soak in the beauty of the old ballpark. Now, let's talk about the Cardinal Club House Store – it was a delight! The store was filled with an impressive array of Cardinals merchandise, and the crew inside was warm, welcoming, and eager to assist. One thing that stood out to me was the fantastic outside area around the stadium. It's a perfect gathering spot for fans to come together, share their love for the game, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere before and after the games.I'm now more determined than ever to plan another trip back to watch a Cardinals game. Maybe, just maybe, they'll be taking on the Braves! I can already feel the excitement building! If you're a baseball enthusiast or just looking for an unforgettable sports outing, Busch Stadium in St. Louis is an absolute must-visit. The combination of the stunning venue, passionate fans, and the Cardinals' remarkable history makes it a baseball lover's paradise.

Our home! Busch Stadium delivers the full baseball experience inside and outside of the stadium. Ballpark village is an excellent addition to the area and there’s always so much to do if you’re not watching baseball.I used to work here as an usher and can attest that the organization truly puts its best foot forward and strives to provide the best customer experience for fans from all over. The theme nights, giveaways, policies on bringing in food, games on the Jumbotron with prizes, and more only add to the experience of the game. I’ve been to other stadiums in MLB but truly , without being biased, Busch stadium is the best.

Drea H — Google review

Busch Stadium is full of great views and wonderful amenities. We always sit in the 400s to get a good view of the entire field as well as the Arch. Those seats are relatively affordable as well. We also find that there’s plenty of snacks nearby as well as restrooms.Throughout the stadium, they have all different kinds of food. And I’m a little biased. And I think Cardinal fans, though passionate about their team are also very friendly and welcoming to others.

Awesome spot for a ball game. This stadium is massive! Lots of good food and drink selections. Sat about 15 rows up from the third base dugout and only paid $30 per ticket. Super fun.

Top 5 of the best stadiums I've been to. The only thing that you need to do is educate your employees on where the same day memorabilia is in the park. It took me a better part of two innings to find because no one could direct me. But I will be back. I did enjoy the experience there and the seats are all wonderful. I also suggest doing the stadium tour before the game.

We got a chance to tour the stadium during our company business dinner. It was very beautiful. We had a fantastic dinner and drinks and then got to see some of the stadium including the dugout, going on the field, the locker rooms and even practice cages! Thank you Dot Foods for all you do for your employees. My husband has been the 20+ years and we love that you are so family oriented and treat us to fantastic things like this.

A very beautiful and huge stadium! There's something for everyone here. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating with my grandma, who was in a wheelchair, and me. As we were waiting to be picked up, a staff member whisked us into some of the best seats in the house so we could finish watching the game with a wonderful, comfortable view.

Busch is a beautiful stadium! We did the tour before the game, and it was a really large group, but the tour guide did a great job! They take a nice picture at the start with the Gateway Arch in the background - cool addition! I ate a bacon-wrapped hot dog with baked beans and crispy onions and all I can say is YUM!! Really enjoyed our time! Everyone was really nice and helpful!

I was super impressed with Busch Stadium. So much that I will go back. What a great set up baseball. There are a lot of seats outside and TV so you can just hangout in the ballpark village and watch the game without going inside. The whole atmosphere of the area is just amazing. Can't wait to go back again!

Busch Stadium is a fantastic sports venue.Cardinals fans know when to be quiet; and appreciate the small things when there team executes small things.Entry was easy. The stadium was walking distance from my hotel.Restaurants and bars surround the stadium so there are plenty of places to visit before the game.I love that you can see the Arch right over the left field skyline.Center field is a great place for families to get together and hang out; with the large scoreboard to keep up with the game.I have been to sporting venues all over America; Busch Stadium did not disappoint.I would highly recommend taking in a game to all sports fans.

Busch Stadium is baseball. Whether the Red Birds are good or bad the fans support this team. Everything about this stadium screams baseball history and the experience was fantastic. Lots of food, drink and history to take in. Take me out to the ball game.

My favorite baseball stadium! There is always such a happy atmosphere with Cards Nation. The food options are THE best! The bacon wrapped hot dog place is my most favorite and is a must try. Tickets are normally pretty reasonable priced, even cheap. This is a great family or friend place. Parking options are close by. Ballpark Village is next to the stadium and makes a great pre or post game about spot.

Loads of fun for the whole family or even just a fun night/day out with friends or significant other! As with every entertainment venue, the food was pricey. But we enjoyed the shrimp and beef tacos at the Mission Taco Joint and my daughter enjoyed a chicken combo from It's Big Chicken. We did this as a field trip for our homeschooled daughter and you can go to their website and receive a certificate for attendance of First Game as a credit per lady at the entrance. We found the certificate and filled it out; however we have not verified this credit claim is true.Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves for our first time at this stadium❤️🥰

Got some great Cardinals gear at the Pro shop, a great ball club to Rep and the colors and logo of gear made me desire to have them in my visit to STL.Very good looking, nice upbeat atmosphere around the stadium.Cool place, worth a visit in town

K D — Google review

Awesome stadium! Great views from our seats! Once through the gates, the rest of the stadium staff made us feel very welcome. I have to say this after encountering a very hostile employee at the gate. She immediately went into "confrontational mode" when it was clarified that the pet was a "service animal" rather than a "support animal " as indicated by her question. Moving on, our seats were great, the stadium was great and the remainder of the experience was great! I say "great" rather than "awesome" because rain/thunderstorms ended up causing the game to be called. Unfortunately, we will not be back in town on the make-up day.

My wife and had an absolutely wonderful time attending a game at Busch Stadium. I’ve been a Cardinals fan since 1968, but for whatever reason, I rarely make it to a game. This year was different and I hope to make the time for more games in the future. Our seats were great, the staff working the game were very friendly and the whole experience was memorable. I can’t wait to return for another game.

Did the classic tour. Very cool stadium and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Got to see some cool spots like the dugout, luxury boxes and radio booth. Kids liked the tour as well, not just for baseball fans. Reasonably priced too. Fun thing to do for an hour if you’re into cool buildings.

Went to the home opener. Amazing experience. It was everything I expected and more. We got to see so many former greats. It was cold (42 degrees) but we won so it was worth it.

Rick H — Google review

Had a blast at the game! Was clean, and pretty well handled for the amount of people there. Definitely a bit confusing to drive to ( not a city girl) parking very close in garages and what not. streets were decently clean on the small walk there. Did see a fight break out in a restaurant right there as we left the game. it was a worker threatening a customer... so that was kinda scary it was heated.... but the stadium itself was great.

My baseball cap off to the man who made the BEST dang hotdog I have ever eaten in my life. It's always a great time in Cardinal Nation, but Lilgreg really made a masterpiece at the bacon wrapped hot dog stand. It truly added to one of many great days at Busch Stadium.

Performing arts group

The City Museum of St. Louis is an impressive performing arts center made entirely out of found objects. It provides a fun and frivolous setting for artists to exhibit their work, while also being a serious architectural and artistic project.

This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! If you get a chance, go! Doesn't matter if you have kids or not. The art is wonderful and the kids had an absolute blast! So much to see and do. My kids and I spent 4 hours here and I feel like we barely scraped the surface. The cave system is awesome. And all the slides take it to the next level!

Amazing place for everyone. Toddlers to bigger kids to teenagers and adults. You could spend hours here and keep finding amazing things. The food isn't crazy experience either so you can spend the day here. They were super great with our large group over the weekend. We had about 90 people in our group and they were super accommodating and there were no issues.

This is the most amazing museum we've seen. It is a total immersive experience that bring you from one world to another completely different world. It has an aquarium, and many indoor and outdoor playground, plus an open rooftop. It is literally a playground for both kids and adults. What are you like to climb and crawl, or just walk without any strenuous moves, there is always a path to explore all the hidden gems in this museum in ways that you are comfortable. And it has so many spaces and so many ways to see things that you can spend days getting lost in these world. And even if you come back again and again, the experience can still be completely different. We highly recommend this as a must visit if you ever come to St. Louis.

Michael P — Google review

City Museum is one of the hardest places on earth to describe. It’s fun for kids and adults alike to explore this massive building with all sorts of oddities, places to crawl and explore, and climb. You might be crawling through narrow spaces on your hands and knees or suddenly exploring caves. They have an outdoor area with massive metal structures to climb as well as a unique rooftop area (open seasonally during the warm months) with things that you must see to believe.I highly recommend getting knee pads for just about anyone who is going to explore anything here. You have to explore and play at your own risk and be cautious. If you do have kids with you, it will be easy to lose them as some slides go between floors and it may not be quick or easy to catch up.The space is well maintained and the staff is generally very friendly and helpful when needed. There are snacks available on the second floor and there’s a bar on the third floor. They have lockers available to rent and it’s worth it to have a place to stash items since you will work up a sweat and it may be easy to lose valuables. This is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been to and something that I’d consider a must visit attraction for anyone coming to Saint Louis for the first time. Don’t skip this and take your time exploring since there’s a lot to see.

David K — Google review

Such a cool place to check out! I went in with no idea what to expect and came out in awe. So many different cool things to look at and stuff to climb on. Definitely a cool place to bring kids but a lot of fun to do as an adult as well!

Malachi K — Google review

I truly love this place. If you go to St. LOUIS, the City Museum is a must-see/do! Since college, I've enjoyed exploring this multi-story playground filled with amazing works of art and pieces of St. Louis. I had the privilege of bringing my kids for the first time and they had a blast.

Angie G — Google review

You have got to take your children here! I visited as the parent of adult children. I wish I had taken my kids here. This place is amazing. Be sure to give your kids a quiet break every once in a while because it’s really overwhelming for little ones. The employees are polite and thoughtful and knowledgeable. There’s something for everybody here to see or enjoy. The views from the rooftop are nice. The young man running the Ferris wheel day I visited was very entertaining and really seemed to enjoy his job. I wish someone would check on the antique cabinets because items are falling off the front of the shelves. I’m looking forward to returning

A. — Google review

Such a cool concept. A beautiful and strange interactive experience that was just as much fun for me as it was for the kids. Only thing that prevented this from being five stars was the rooftop closed during our visit, after we had bought tickets for it, due to heat/lack of staffing before we got up there and they do not offer refunds, only rain checks. Since we aren't from the area (and I'm sure a large number of other visitors are not local) there's no way we'd have been able to come back.

Sara S — Google review

What an absolutely awesome experience for kids and adults! You have to be fairly nimble but there's fun to be had from all. Even just walking through and checking things out is pretty neat. One of our favorite Parts was the seven story slide, it was really fast and an absolute blast! Parking was easy and a good time was had by all. The only negative that I can really think of is St Louis is not nearly as nice overall as many big cities I've been to but, of course, this has nothing to do with the quality of the museum.

Matt D — Google review

Love this place! The most extreme climb is definitely on the rooftop. If you’re coming for a single day then just get the roof pass and do it. Such a fun place to spend hours, always something new, food, everything to stay entertained.

Adam K — Google review

This has got to be one of the most unique places I have ever been. Literally everywhere you look is a place to climb or slide. A lot of this place is mosaic tile that is absolutely beautiful. We spent around 3 hours here and didn't get to see the whole thing because of how massive this place is. We have a 3 year old that would not sit still, he had to see and explore everything. There are endless thing for kids to do here. Unfortunately we were not able to get on the roof because of weather, but we still had an amazing time. Id recommend this place if you have kids and want to see something like you've never seen before. I cannot say enough about this place and how much fun we had, we will definitely be back!

Jason J — Google review

If Mad Max had a Kids Palace this would be the destination!! What an adventure. So much climbing and birth canals secret tunnels!! make me wish I had knee pads and a headlamp. There is so much to climb!! Then Slide! It’s one big cavernous Jungle gym! Your inner child will be revealed and there is even an old school pinball section. We didn’t get a chance to see all the outdoor activities like the Ferris wheel school bus etc… because it was winter;(

RayView — Google review

Amazing experience for kids! Tons of activities and experiences for all ages. It was a little nerve wracking to let my 3 year old go into the tunnels not knowing where they end up. But since he was with family I let go a little. I highly recommend bringing headlamps for the kids (great job by their Grandma). Also make sure to write your phone number on the wristbands. Our kids got a little lost and went to the info desk and they called us right away. Lots of food and drinks on every level. I wish there were as many coffee options as there was alcohol on every level. We didn't get to explore the roof activities due to the weather. Definitely worth the money for a day's worth of fun!

Alexandria T — Google review

The City Museum is unique in the way that it feels like intentional chaos. It’s almost like an interactive art museum. The playgrounds/ climbing/sliding structures are very unique. Most of them go from one floor to another (I think there were a few that went between three floors). The day that we went the museum was packed and with the play structures being so big and behind walls and going floor to floor, it was extremely stressful trying to keep up with the children with our group. If you are expecting an organized, learning environment for kids, this is not it. This isn’t the kind of museum that has different learning stations, everything just randomly turns into something else. You go from a winding metal structure for kids to climb on to a wall of antiques with no explanation. The one real station I saw amidst the chaos was a toddler area where some big kids had taken over and there were no workers to be seen. We were there for several hours and I only ever saw one worker. There’s no one there to help parents FIND their kids when their kids go down a slide when the sign says it ends on one floor but actually ends on another. There were also several things that stood out as red flags to us as being safety concerns/ not up to code.Maybe it’s not always as busy as it was the day that we went but it was stressful as the parents trying to keep up with kids that go up a set of stairs that go behind a wall and it takes you 5 minutes to find where it comes out.I will say that the food from the restaurant we ate at was good. (Alcohol available- and after spending time in that museum- I can see why.) 😅The gift shop souvenirs were about as random as the museum which was kind of funny. My aunt and I joked that the t-shirts in the gift shop should say “I survived the City Museum with all my kids.”

Hannah T — Google review

The most redeeming quality of this place is all of the stuff that has been kept out of a landfill. Props to the artists who’ve created a fun place to explore. My 80s kid at heart did appreciate that there was a lot of space for free play, climbing, exploring. But… There were WAY too many people in the facility. My husband commented that this may have been where Covid originated. I understand that they are making $20-30 per person, so packing them in makes more money. But limiting the number of people would increase the quality of the experience so much more.Gift shop idea- sell headphones or ear plugs!!!It felt like half of the facility was food places, gift shops, and kiosks where you can spend more money. There appears to be plenty of space in the building that isn’t being used. I’d consider visiting again if they open up new spaces to explore. Otherwise, I most likely won’t return.

Tammy B — Google review

This place is so special! It's unlike any other attraction you've ever been to. There is just so much to see and explore, I feel like you can keep going again and again and you'll find something new every time. it's great for all ages - we were a huge group from ages 2-13 plus adults and everyone had the best time. The ONLY thing I will tell you is all the nooks and crannies make it super easy to get lost so you do have to keep a very careful eye on your kids, including knowing where they are going to end up when they go down a slide. But it is absolutely worth the extra effort. We love this weird wacky wonderful museum!

Rachel S — Google review

Whoever said this place isn't for adults must be old or boring!! 2 adults in their 30s had a wildly fun time for nearly 5hours! The roof is underwhelming, you don't need to pay more for it. But the inside (and outside) are a blast. Be sure to find the 10story slide (it's kinda hidden in what feels like a boiler room). The circus was cute, and the aquarium had some interesting fish. My only comment is that the seahorse has a sign about how they mate for life and dance with their partner twice a day... but there's only 1 seahorse! I really wish they would adopt another one because that's heart breaking. Oh and your knees will be sore after climbing all of the steel tubes!

My son had a good time. He is 10. He definitely saw it is a cool adventure. If there was a way to ensure he couldn't be taken or hurt without my knowledge, I could have let him run free a little more but I felt like I'd lose him if he got out of my sight because this place goes on and on! Lol. So I was overprotective and followed him around. Every thing was really cool. Unfortunately after walking thousands of steps to reach the top they said you can't slide with a small bag. I had to bring my bag to be able to pay for our way in, etc. So that was unfortunate after walking so many stair cases. Maybe a sign at the bottom saying no bags allowed? 🤔 it was hot, but overall the place is very cool and very fun for a kid to explore. We may come back some day and try again when he's older.

Meredith S — Google review

So much fun. And so big. You can explore for 8 hours straight and not see it all. There's so many little surprises and nooks and crannies. A great place for kids to go and get some of their energy out.The halloween decorations are a nice touch and makes for a spooky good time.

This place is incredible. It's nonsensical. I don't understand any of the why or how. It's like Dr. Seuss came back from the dead and took up welding. It's incredible fun no matter your age. There's stuff you can climb on. There's stuff you can climb through. There's places you won't fit. You'll probably get lost. Your kids will get lost. You'll leave with a different set of kids than what you started with. It all somehow works out in the end. There's not much to say other than bring some knee pads and have fun in this gem of a place. This place is the best thing St. Louis has to offer.

First off this place is extraordinary, it is fun even for a 16 to 30-year-old, I wasn't expecting to see a grown adult have fun inside the caves and all the places you can crawl. It's a place where you can learn and have fun at the same time. I would recommend it for any age. The only thing I recommend for families with kids is that SUPERVISE YOUR KIDS, and know where they are at all times, YOUR KIDS CAN GET LOST IN THERE.

Whether you buy your tickets in advance, you pay a convenience fee which is $2 a ticket or you can buy it at the window. Wait a little bit and pay a little extra which evens out to what you would pay online. Kids absolutely loved it. I just set them free and let them go explore. We spent 4 hours and we left the museum to eat lunch and then we were able to come back in and play some more. There are bathrooms on every floor, and food vendors as well. They had a variety of food to choose from around $10 and up. We Chose to have a picnic in the parking lot, Beside our vehicle. Parking was $15 for the day.

Great museum with a variety of displays, bars, and restaurants through its several floors. Most of the museum is climbing stairs, tunnels and caves. There are more slides than I could count and some decent several floors. This place is ideal for active children and is less ideal for older or sedentary individuals. There was a live performance tasty was interesting. Solo circus.

This place is an amazing place to visit. We didn't get to do much of the outdoor equipment, so try to plan to come on a nice day. If you want to do everything you better plan a day for this. It's massive inside!Kids of all ages are welcome here.... And I stress ALL ages. Even the grown up kids, that have their own kids. Just plan to run and climb all over the place. Adults can climb most everything without an issue. There are narrow areas, but fairly easy to squeeze through. It's a good time!

Bryan H — Google review

There is so much to see and enjoy at this place. It really was so crowded that it made it difficult to enjoy. I was lucky to be able to sit down for the circus. It was enjoyable. It's fairly easy to lose your child in the tunnels because I really have no idea where they end up or come out. If you don't follow your child into one of the many random holes.. then be prepared to spend most of your time searching for them instead of actually enjoying your time there. We got to enjoy one of the slides that were outside. Honestly, I haven't been down a slide in probably over a decade.. until today. It was exhilarating! I wish i could have been a lot more in shape, 10 years younger, and here without kids.. and probably with a max of 100 people there.. then it would have been Amazing! Also face painting $17 come on? The only thing we ended up buying in there was a Maple the dog plushie from the circus, and that goes to a good cause, so it was well worth it! This place is also Very warm.. so dress light.. but not so light that you stick and squeak all the way down the slide.

I used to come here when I was a little kid. I remember it being one of the craziest but most awesome places I had ever been to. Now that I’ve visited it as an adult I have to say that little kid me was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! I have never in my life been through a more endless and fascinating place like the museum’s cave system. It can be a tight squeeze sometimes, but the sheer wonder of it all makes it worth it! You see one little crack in the wall, something you wouldn’t normally ever consider a pathway, but when you peek in you realize it’s a tunnel that leads deep into the walls and high above. There are a million endless routes, all of which bring you to one awesome lookout or another. I HIGHLY recommend you bring your kids here, even teenagers and adults can get a kick out of the place, you just have to be willing to explore a little! (Although if you are claustrophobic or have a fear of the dark, this place’s tunnels are NOT for you!) the outdoor metal structures are also loads of fun to climb and get a good view of the museum, so I would suggest visiting on a day with good weather! Although, I will warn that you may want to bring a packet of antibacterial wipes, as you’re going to be on your hands and knees touching and squeezing through all sorts of stuff that a million people have touched before you, so even the non-germaphobes might want something to clean up with!

A haven for artists….which is both good and bad. Good, because it’s a very creative, interesting space. Not so good because they apparently don’t apply common business principles. For example, it took 35 minutes to park. Why? One entrance, and one person taking $$. The wait to get in was another 40 minutes. Never mind that we bought out tickets online; that does not matter until you get into the lobby. Once inside, the long lines continue: for the restrooms, the slides, and best of all, for food. I was the fourth customer in line at Beatnik Bob’s and waited 30 minutes to order and receive my food. They had 3 people working in the restaurant. I actually felt bad for them. See my photo for context; it was taken immediately after getting my order. Finally, I find their security protocols completely lacking for such a large space. No metal detectors, no bag checks, no visible security officers. There were cameras, but it sure seems like you can bring in what you want, and I’m not ok with that. (Though I wish I would have brought in some snacks.)

Marc L — Google review

Absolutely perfect. I loved every bit (except the architecture and bug rooms). One of the first things we did was go to the circus harmony show. The cast did a amazing job. My favorite part was the aquarium. Didn't order food but the restaurants smelt awesome. The tunnels around the building have quite a few tight squeezes. Perfect place for children with tons of playspace.

Kriz S — Google review

Sooo much fun! Our kids had the best time and want to go back as soon as possible. It's a little intimidating at first since your kids essentially just disappear into this massive maze of tunnels and slides and crawl spaces. Once we were able to get over that fact and join in the fun with the kids, we couldn't get enough. We spent the whole day exploring the space and probably could have spent another day or two easily. They also have a small selection of lizards and fish in the museum - including "Dr. Fish" that eat the dead skin off your hands. Really weird, but also a unique experience!

We brought knee pads the second time and this was our second time much better with knee pads.Still love this place! Finally got tickets to the roof this time. Absolutely incredible place! Can't wait to see what else they add in the years to come.Absolutely love some of the repurposing they've done with the old pieces of equipment and etc.

Muttytruckster — Google review

The City Museum is an experience different from all else. I found it similar to The House on The Rock and Meow Wolf in the way that it is so crazy to behold. The size of this place is amazing, and every inch is packed with activities, art, and the main attraction, tunnels. Everywhere you look, you see a metal tunnel, or a hole into the wall, or a massive tree with metal surrounding it, just waiting to be climbed. Although some tunnels are a bit of a squeeze, there are almost always multiple ways to get to any given place. Both adults and children were exploring, climbing, and being active in this marvelous place. We spent 8 hours exploring and I'm sure we still didn't see everything. There are almost no words for this place, and I would recommend this place with the absolute best of my ability. Keep in mind that I didn't even mention all of this amazing place, there are so many activities and hidden crannies.

Hazel Z — Google review

It was very busy. (forgot about the existence of spring break) lol! I love the creativity and trade skills on display to create such amazing pieces and the fact you can touch and interact is a dream for me. I loved being able to touch the designs and feel the work. You definitely need knee pads if playing in the caves! My inner child was so happy here, to feel pieces of time and the re-purpose of them into new yet respectful ways to inspire new generations. ❤❤❤

Lynn K — Google review

Not adult friendly for sure. You can only enjoy it with kids and even then, I wouldn’t bring my child there. Some parts are definitely dangerous. There were barely warning signs or instructions anywhere even though there were clear safety hazards. Some areas were pretty disgusting too. If you’re walking around and not touching anything, some parts were cool to look at. My friend had a good laugh when I hit my head on one of the slides so that was fun! I would definitely not recommend it as a St Louis must. And definitely not worth the price.

The Gateway Arch is an iconic monument in St. Louis, Mo., commemorating the exploration and settlement of the American West. The arch was built in the early 60s and is a massive 630-foot-tall structure topped with a striking metal entrance facade. The top of the arch offers stunning views of both the city below and the surrounding countryside, making it an excellent tourist destination for those visiting St. Louis with children. The Drury Plaza Hotel St.

Super cool experience! The pods in the tram are tiny but we got to ride in one ourselves, so nice to not have to sit in one with strangers. The door is glass which is awesome as you can view what the inside of the Arch looks like on your ride up and down. 4 min up, 3 min down. Husband is claustrophobic but was OK on the ride! Time at the top is short but plenty of time to take pictures of just look and enjoy the view. Our group was only about 11 people total so not crowded at the windows at all. The museum is interesting with lots to read. Cafe was expensive but food was OK. Tour guide for the tram was upbeat and friendly. The Arch was definitely the highlight to our trip to St.Louis! And the small state park surrounding the structure was nice as well.

It's cool to see. I don't know that I'd need to do it more than once. Buy tickets in advance. You can also check the website around 900a and see if they are any available tickets. I checked and got a ticket for the same day. You have to go through security as it's a national landmark. They have a museum area after that and other setups to learn about the arch and its history, there is a gift shop and cafe inside. Line up at your time... there aren't many people lining up until about 4-5 min prior to the scheduled time. You stand in line for a while before you get to go back. There really isn't a benefit because you get assigned a group 1 through 9. You sit with your group in the pod up and down...maximum of 5 people

Great place to visit! Lines all ran smoothly and it was an orderly transition from the check-in to the top and back down. Some unique history all the way from out greeting to a little movie to the facts projected on the doors that let you on to the tram. 4 minutes up and 3 minutes down. Yes, the tram is small but you can see the inside of the arch via the window/doors on the side. They allot the group 9 minutes at the top which is more than enough time to get some great photos. I’d recommend the movie on the building of the arch as it helped to make sense out of the architecture and the construction. The museums in the area were also very informative. Highly recommended.

This was an awesome experience. I’ve visited the museum before but was finally able to ride to the top today. The trams are claustrophobic though so if you have issues with that then this might not be for you. If you can do it however, it is so worth it. On a clear day, the views are incredible! As someone with sensitive ears, they did feel a little uncomfortable during the ride up and back down. You only have 10 minutes at the top so you should promptly start taking your pictures and what not upon getting off of the tram. Be sure to check out the museum and gift shop as well!

I had never really wanted to visit the Arch but I thought I'd give it a go and I was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful museum to see before you have to purchase anything at all. Definitely go to the top of the arch. Amazing views. And if you get there at noon you can see the shadow perfect between the two legs of the Arch!!!

Oliver S — Google review

Wonderful experience! It was cool driving through town and seeing the arch get bigger and bigger as we got closer. Then to be standing under it was amazing. The view from the top and museum were fabulous. The tram ride was faster than expected. We’ll worth the time and Money!

Bonnie D — Google review

We had the chance to visit a couple of times. It has an incredibly beautiful atmosphere. It looks so beautiful from the outside. It makes me happy every time I see it. The museum is incredibly beautiful. There is a very beautiful narration. Everything is simple and technological. The main problem here is going upstairs. It's incredibly claustrophobic. Unfortunately, you can't find a satisfying window when you go upstairs.

Mehmet Y — Google review

Worth doing it to check the box, but not sure I’d feel the need to do it twice. The whole thing is about $15+ per person to take the tram (a claustrophobic Ferris wheel ride staring at concrete) up to a small room to look out tiny windows. I had more fun taking pictures for tourist families than I did staring out the tiny windows. Cool view, but a little anticlimactic for the price. The museum looked cool, but unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush and didn’t get to check it out.

I came to the Arch as a child and my son is now 10 years old so it was time to create the memories with him. He had learned about the Arch at school and now he's been able to witness it first hand. Overall it was a great experience. A little crowded and had to wait for a chance to get my son up in the windows to see the sights and get photos of him. A security lady asked us to leave as I was grabbing a couple photos we had waited on other people to move on, for my son's memory book. I explained to her we had to wait on all of the other people to be able to look out. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless the trip was nice and the other employees were all super nice and professional. The landscaping and surroundings were all beautiful.

It was such a cool experience to see in person. It's a lot bigger than I expected. We went there early in the morning, and there was no one around, so we got a lot of time for pictures and just enjoying the arch. By the time we did the sightseeing outside and went up into the arch, we were done by 1130 or so, and it got busy quickly. Would recommend if you are able and around the area.

Tara M — Google review

The Gateway Arch is an amazing work of engineering and design. The tour was good but the narrator spoke so fast I could only understand bits and pieces of the story. The ride to the top was awesome and the view was incredible. They really could use an updated version of the videos though. I felt like I was sitting in an elementary classroom watching an old documentary. Not a good feeling. The parking was much to far from the entrance and the signs were poorly placed. I have bad knees and back. I park with a handicap tag but could not find the parking for handicap. The parking cost was too expensive as well. If you fix a few things mentioned you could easily reach a five star rating. All that said, I do recommend this business. It is worth seeing.

Really enjoyed the place. I wasn't able to go up due to the number of stairs to get to the tram and then at the top, but it's got a wonderful park outside. Inside, the museum is well-designed, there's a dining area, a movie theater that shows stuff like the 1970s documentary, and my favorite: A VR experience that has you fly through a painting showing small scenes of a moment in time. It's very well done and feels like a ride.Outside of the Arch, the place is very accessible and the staff is very friendly and helpful (like most national parks). You do have to go through a metal detector, but it was very efficient when I was there.

Should be on the to-do list for everybody visiting St Louis. The Arch itself is huge and you can go up all to the top. Tour guide Sandy was awesome and very funny. The museum is just as impressive as the Arch itself. The history and development of St Louis is clearly explained. Well done. Museum itself is very clean and modern.

Well done National Park Service! I bought tickets online about a month ahead of time. I was able to have the tickets on my phone. We arrived about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of our tour time to allow for the security check. At the appointed time we were directed through the tour. The tour guides were courteous and very helpful answering questions. The views from the top are spectacular and for me, well worth the price of admission. The ride up and down is a little bumpy and the pod is a little claustrophobic, but should be no problem for most people. There is a historical museum after entry and before or after the tour that is worth a walk through. There is a concession stand of sorts as well as a souvenir shop. Overall, a great experience!

Robert J — Google review

Great experience. You go up a very small tram elevator and it's pretty cool. They have a small museum inside, obviously the gift shop, and a few places to eat inside. Would highly recommend if not afraid of heights and not afraid of being an enclosed spaces.

We went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. We did the tram ride to the top of the arch and it was under $20 a person. Our son was free since he's a wee tot. You enter at the bottom and go through a security check(similar to at an airport). Then you can walk around and learn all the history facts. There is a little cafe and gift shop in that area, as well. If you have a ticket for the tram, you continue on to the next area and guides put in groups. The rest is a quick history lesson then an even quicker ride to the top. You get around 10 minutes to look out of little windows at everything around you then you hop back in your tram and head down. It's a really quick experience but also a neat one. The trams are quite small and fit 5 people snugly(see video). If you're claustrophobic you might consider skipping the tram. If you park by the water, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. We did it taking turns carrying our 40lb son and the thigh burn was real😅

I didn’t even realize you could get to the top till we saw the tiny dots that were actually windows. Was hesitant to go the top at first, but totally worth it! You don’t even feel like you’re that high up, cause the structure is so secure. What was even more amazing is if you put your compass in front of the plaque, you’ll find that the Arch points exactly West and East to the degree! What an amazing place!

The park around the arch is a peaceful place to spend time for couples, family, alone, or friends! The location is walkable from downtown. It is right by the river. There are paid parking lots, but the street parking is cheaper. The area is safe.Bathrooms are inside, at the bottom of the arch. You can pay to go up a tram to the top of the arch, which is a unique experience with cool views. There is also a free museum that you can walk around and learn a lot of history, a cave, and gift shop.

This is one of my favorite place to visit. It always amazes me with its beautiful and unique architecture. We could go up the arch. Better if you buy tickets in advance online. You need to go through the security check. There could be line depending on the crowd and time of the day. However queue passes fast. There is a museum after you pass through security, which is beautiful. You could enter either of north or south entrance to take tram to top of arch. They also got a decent cafeteria inside if you are hungry. I recommend one should take this tour and go top of arch. It never fails to amaze you. I love going to St. Louis because of this Gateway arch.

I have had the opportunity to visit St. Louis the last 3 years in a row and every time I land I go right to the ARCH and walk the park! Depending obviously on the weather, but the last 3 times it has been amazing!! I still have not gone up the ARCH on the elevator, but it is on my to do list. There is something about hanging out in the national park and enjoying a bit of history!!! This super conductor definitely is a cool part of America. Look it up and read about it and I promise you will be fascinated. Today the lawn were beautiful and the skies were amazing!!

I have driven through St. Louis a few times but never actually visited until this weekend. What a great place! The Gateway Arch was great. The views are spectacular and really gives you great sight lines and visuals of the city and Mississippi River. The museum is also very nice, did not have food but the cafe looks nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and we had a great time.

Amazing place to visit with a lot to do, it's interesting to see the engineering that went into making the Arch. A lot of history and a beautiful museum to visit as well. I definitely recommend checking it out if your in St. Louis. Great place to bring the kiddos

The trip to visit the St. Louis Arch was an experience that truly surpassed any waiting time. The awe-inspiring sight of the iconic monument towering over the cityscape made every moment of anticipation worthwhile. However, navigating through St. Louis to reach the Arch was an entirely different story. The route we took felt unsafe, with dimly lit streets and questionable neighborhoods along the way. Despite the breathtaking beauty of the Arch, the journey to get there left us feeling uneasy and cautious. While the Arch itself is a must-see attraction, travelers should exercise caution and plan their routes carefully to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit to St. Louis.

We were in Missouri for the solar eclipse, so afterwards we went up to St Louis, cause we all wanted to see the arch. And it's very cool and impressive. When I was a trucker I passed by it innumerable times, but seeing it up close is much better. There was a cool little park outside, and the view at night is excellent. You can get inside easily, but if you want to go to the top you should purchase your tickets in advance, because they limit the number of people that can be at the top at a time. Also, you have to go through park security to go to the top, but its very quick. If you're claustrophobic you probably won't enjoy going up, but you can look out at the great view from the top. And they have a nice gift shop. Personally, I enjoyed seeing it from outside the best, but it was cool going to the top, and I don't regret it.

Absolutely wonderful experience and you get so much more than you expect. It's not only an amazing overlook of St. Louis and the Mississippi river from above, but there's an amazing historical (museum) exhibit underground and a really informative guide of the design, construction and engineering of the Arch and it's interior carriage transportation.Well worth a visit and they lots of different ticket options, but just the entrance and rid-up was only $17 and really good value IMHO.

Jack M — Google review

the arch is cool, the park is pretty, you get to see the river, city hell, downtown. Very pleasant place to walk. Its just disappointing that the museum and the tram close so early. Would have been nice to have gone up there during my layover. Why not have rides up and down at sunset? Or at night when you can see all the lights? I think people would really enjoy that.
