I’ve been so honored to serve all of the heroes of Azeroth.
You are the most passionate, dedicated, and creative community in gaming. You are why I’ve poured my heart and soul into creating the best games possible. You have inspired me, challenged me, and made me a stronger developer.
I also want to share my immense gratitude and confidence in the teams & leaders supporting all the games across the Warcraft universe.
I know you’ll take WoW, Hearthstone, and Rumble to new heights, and I can’t wait to experience your vision alongside other players.
As for what’s next in my journey, I don’t have any specifics to share quite yet, but I am excited to explore new opportunities and challenges in the industry, and to continue making great games with talented people.
Thank you again for making these years so unforgettable, and I’ll still see you in Azeroth - now, as purely a player!

- What was it ~7+ million subs leaked recently? Sounds like a pretty amazing position to me for any game, never mind one that is 20 years old lol

- Even at its absolute worst during BFA, before the launch of Classic, it never fell below 4m. During Shadowlands it fell only to 4.5m.

It's been pretty consistently seesawing between 4.5m and 7.5m for the last eight years.

the gdc graph proved me right on every point i've made in the past. the game right now doesn't have 7m subs.Originally Posted by Ereb

wod pulled 10m subs at the start by itself, dragonflight not even half.Originally Posted by Dracullus
Totally. 14+ years of doomsayers spewing bullsh*t and proven wrong, but you are chosen one who's right. And this prediction that game is falling harder than WoD during time when people can't keep up with various WoW releases - cherry on top.
Edit: having 10 different versions of the game doesn't mean retail is doing amazing. the hype for the new expansion seems to be pretty low

7m subs during an old and dying expansion, bet that's going to be bumped over 10m easily with TWW launch.
Definitely a good place to be, especially when competitors are... wait, all competitors are dead. I suppose being the only mmo that matters in the era in which people don't play mmos anymore means something.
